We are still on Dr. Peng's herb protocol. You may visit www.autismpedia.org, select treatment, and select Dr.Peng and view our documentation on my son's progress. It has been almost 2 months, it is hardly believe that my sons used to be call autistic.

Hi All,I came to know about Dr. Peng from this forum and also talked to him today. I am just wondering, whether anyone has seen some great results in his protocol ? My son is going to be 4 in this December and we are doing Bio-medical since last one year, with very little success. I am thinking may be, I should try Dr. Peng's protocol. Any feedback will really help. Thanks,

Rei,

I think I might email Dr. Peng tomorrow and see if he will do a phone

consult with me. I am in Canada though and don't know if he would send

the herbs to me. I am wondering if he did agree, if he would send me a

month's supply at a time? It would be too expensive for me otherwise.

I would really love to try this. My daughter drinks the Essiac tea and

she loves her tea, so I think she would drink Dr. Pengs drink since

it's all herbs like her tea.

Do you think he would help me if I'm not in the US?

Why not? Dr. Peng and his father (Dr. Peng Sr) are working long hours ( on OT) now even working on weekends, just for helping our kids. the Father is the R & D guy ( desiging new treatments or herb combinations) and son is the guy who implements formula and searching for herbs throughout the world that father needs. Everytime I stopped by his clinic for borrowing soup bag for brewing tea or asking questions, I saw piles of piles of US Postal Service packages sitting behind the counter, I know these boxes filled up with hope to reover our children from autism. I feel warm down deep in my heart. I always told them they better work hard and don;t let you guys down, there are so many kids out there need to be awakened and recovered. And I bet my name and Quinn's name on their work. I know they

are working on it. Back to your question, they don't care where you live, their passion is to treat patients with what they are good at--TCM and herb sciense. I remember they told me there are couple of patients who read about our story and called them from Europe and Japan. Dr. Peng are treating these patients overseas as well. So, if you live in Canada, I don't think it should be an issue. Email them.

I just emailed him and told him it was from you that I'd heard about

him! You should be getting free stuff you're making them famous! I'm

kidding.

So, I emailed him and will wait to see what he wants to do next. The

only thing I am worried about is the chelation we are doing on

weekends. I know my daughter has mercury in her brain and worry that

it won't come out if I stop the ALA. But I will have to let him know

all of this.

Thanks so so much Rei. I am excited about this!

I don't think you should stop ALA on chelation. I also think once you add the herb protocol, it will help liver to work better with what you are doing on chelation. Dr. Peng's herb has ingredients to help and train liver detox on its own, too.

Now don't anybody freak out, but I'm going to caution to make sure that she checks out the source of the herbs that she is thinking about getting as anything that contains any amounts of mercury while you are chelating, could be dangerous.

I wish I can let your see these herbs packed by Dr. Peng in paper wrap. They look fresh dried leaves, roots, branches, fruits. Nothing is man made or manufacture processed products. They even smell fresh and fragent. They look like they are picked from some forest, raw and dried plants. I wish you could see them.

They smell so fresh and natural, I even think about making a perfum out of these herb ingredient.

Thanks . Would Dr. Peng know this? How do I find out if they

have mercury? The last thing I want to do is add metals.

How can fresh dried leave hold mercury? Dr. Peng's herb is not even in bottled like any other supp sold on the shelves in the store. There are no manfacturo that has touched these herbs. The herb ingredients that I got from Dr. Peng are fresh, dried leaves, roots, seeds, fruits, flowers, branches, raw material. They are wrap by paperbag in Dr. Peng's clinic.

I think what was concerned about is these herb processed or powdered in capsules by manufacturors in China where has bad reputation of pollution. The herb we use to brew are freshly plants, like bulk dried raw goods sold in health food store. I hope that will give you a better picture.

I'm not sure how they would have mercury. I wonder about arsenic

though? My daughter's hair test was a bit high in arsenic. I will just

ask him if they are organic. I know my daughter's Essiac is organic.

We are on day 17 and I am thus far very impressed with

the herbs (though we are not using Dr Peng). This is

probably the first intervention in 4.5 yrs of biomed

that my son hasn't had a full regression and concrete

gains have either built or remained the same. And we

are getting detox like behaviors, so I know it is

doing something with his organs.

I am most impressed that he seems to be tolerating

no supplements, that was certainly my biggest fear.

We are still a bit early in our trial, and our current

batch of tea is new (began on Sunday) and the Dr.

tweaked it a bit, but overall I am seeing some nice

stuff on the tea.

Our experience blog is at http://tcmforautism.blogspot.com

I had a telephonic talk with Dr. Peng last Sunday and I am waiting

for the herb now. Not sure, how long will it take, but hope I will

get soon. I am really excited to try this out. I am doing bio-medical

treatment since last one year, we have done all the things that can

be done on diet, sometimes on strict SCD and some times on GFCF, but

he is on GFCF atleast through out this period, have tried anti-

virals, tons of supplements, anti-bacteria stuff, anemia for

parasites, two does of anti-biotic as prescribed by my DAN, Valtrex

and currently doing DMSA chelation. Till date not seen any big

improvement as such, rather his stimming increased drastically after

anti-biotic and now a days also always in bad mood and crys most of

the time. Before all these intervenations, he used to sit near book

for 20/30 mins at a stretch, now does not look at book. I am

wondering, what I am doing wrong. He has language and socialisation

issue, but was a happy child before bio-medical treatment, now he is

no more a happy child. Dr. Peng asked me to stop all the supplements

and other stuffs like chelation and I had also make up my mind to

take a break on all these and lets see.... I am sure bio-medical

treatment do help many many kids, but not working for my kid as yet.

I have had big gains with one of my son's and was very happy until I ran into problems getting the herbs when I need them.I had seen some improvements with my kids as well, more so with my 7 year old son, however I do not like how long it takes to get the herbs and we run out before dr.peng sends a new order of herbs and it causes all kinds of issues.

Since I stopped all other supplements in order to do this herb protocol I do not like to be out of these herbs.

I cannot ping pong back and forth between giving the herbs, running out and going back on supplements and then going back to the herbs when they finally get here.

I don''t know if he waits until he gets a ton of orders and does all his shipping at once, but if thats the case its going to cause alot of problems and I will have to discontinue.

He needs to ship his orders as they come in, maybe they should hire someone to strictly deal with shipping or have the orders picked up by a service if he is not already doing that.

Its too bad because I and the school were really seeing great things happening, but now since he ran out and he is off his supplements he is having a meltdown. Not good and I am very unhappy.

I called him last monday and told him I needed my herbs shipped no later than wednesday so that I would not run out of herbs. I paid for them as well.

Here it is Tuesday and I still have nothing.I called him yesterday and he said he "thinks" my order went out and that I should give him more time to fill the order so I don't run out.

I think that since it has been 9 days now its been pretty sufficient notice. It would be different if it were a new order and he had to put together a protocol for the kids, but that part is already done.

I am not going to go through this every month so not sure what to do right now.

This is unfortunate to hear. I can understand that they are probably a

bit overwhelmed all of the sudden with a lot of long-distance patients,

but that must be frustrating.

I have considered switching to Dr.s Peng because of the way they

customize each patient. Our TCM doctor is highly educated and does

seem to know his stuff, but he uses herbs in capsules. Some of them he

obviously formulates himself. He told me he has a lab and some of the

bottles we get only have a sticker from his practice on them, but some

of them are manufactured elsewhere. My ds has not seemed to have had a

problem with the one that is manufactured somewhere else, but my non-

ASD dd may be having a problem with hers. She is on three types and I

was disappointed to find that one of them is in pill form and has a

bright red coating (she has been washing it off because she is highly

sensitive to artificial colors) and the other lists cornstarch as an

ingredient. She has been strict SCD since February. She did take

Prevacid for awhile, but took herself off that med. Like and

others have mentioned, I worry about contamination from the

manufactured ones.

I was thinking that it might be better to go with Dr.s Peng if

everything they do is straight from the herb and customized, but I do

worry if they can't keep up.

Thanks,

It really is frustrating, we were having great gains and then we run out of herbs and he is having issues. I can't keep playing with his body like that so I hope they get it straightened out.

He acted like he didn't understand what I was trying to explain to him yesterday about the problems it can cause by running out of the herbs and I wanted to know exactly how much notice he will need since its obvious a week is not enough.

He just said, I need notice to put the herbs together. So I just gave up.I don't know if he understands what I am getting at.

He acted like it was my fault that I didn't give him enough notice, but he gave me a ten day supply originally and I call him after 5 days to tell him I need more and we still run out.

If he is only going to give 10 days supply for people to start with he better be able to fill these orders alot quicker.

I hope someone can make him understand how serious it is for kids to be taken off of supplements and put on this herb protocol and then not have the herbs available when they need them.

It seems like I could not make him understand.

I feel bad because the herbs were actually doing a world of good for my son and his teacher said his conversational skills are through the roof.

His speech therapist said the same thing, so now we run out and it could not have come at a worse time because he is in the process of being evaluated through the school.

You know that whole rigorous testing they do with every specialist in the school?

Well thats what he is doing right now and he is a mess. I am very upset.

I feel really bad complaining about dr.peng because I think the herbs do work or at least they have been for my kids, but I can't help but be upset about the lack of availability of the herbs.

I think he has good prices and his treatment works for alot of people.

They need to figure out a better system.

I am really sorry if I sound like a jerk, I guess I am just stressed out and nervous right now.

, wondering if it would be possible to have 'alternative'

suppliers at hand, maybe your local TCM shop. would it be worth asking

if they could compound the same formula??

I decided to go with a local TCM Dr. instead of

Dr Peng (I wanted to establish a " face to face "

relationship), and have been very happy with the

tea this Dr. is making and the gains we are seeing.

It may be worth finding one locally, to minimize

the frustration you are experiencing ordering the

I think you are both right, I think I will spend some time today checking out our area. I live near Boston so if there are any in our state at all it would probably be there or maybe in Quincy.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I decided to go with a local TCM Dr. instead ofDr Peng (I wanted to establish a "face to face"relationship) , and have been very happy with thetea this Dr. is making and the gains we are seeing. It may be worth finding one locally, to minimizethe frustration you are experiencing ordering theherbs.> > > >> > > > From: pramod.samal <pramod.samal@ >> > > > Subject: Any success on Dr. Peng's protocol> > > > To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. com> >

Okay, I recieved a box today from Dr. Peng, it was shipped overnight and we had to sign for it, only its not my order.

I get 10 large bags for my 3 children that last 10 days.

I boil one bag a day and they share it.

This box contained 4 small bags of herbs and I do not recognize these as being the same ones that they had last time.

I called him a few days ago and asked him where my order was, he put me on hold and then told me that he must have shipped my order already.

Obviously he didn't and just figured that out and he tried to make up the order and overnight it to me.

I just e-mailed him, I will see how long it takes for him to get back to me.

I paid for a 10 days supply for 3 children. I am so aggravated right now.
