Guest guest
This really isn't a biomed based response, but my DS gets hyper when he is tired. He is exhausted (I think more mentally than physically) and usually needs a nap after school. If he doesn't nap, nighttime sleep is disturbed, and he sleeps for fewer hours too. Except for maybe a couple times, he never really tires out and sleeps- his engine keeps revving up. I have, earlier in the school year, given him a snack in the car and driven around a little so he would fall asleep- now he's asleep anyways by the time we reach home. I don't know that that may be a consideration with your son.

Guest guest
No answers for you but we have seen this occasionally with our son. It almost seems like the pressure builds up in him over the day and it has to blow in the afternoons/evening.
