PLEASE PASS THIS ON IF YOU CARE!This morning (Decemebr 11th), I turn on NPR in New York and hear a totally pro-vaccine segment on Morning Edition of WNYC FM - Peet and Offit blasting McCarthy and any other Hollywood celebrity and "misguided parents" who are not vaccinating their children because of the "misconception" that vaccines cause autism. They say there was a measles epidemic (135 people) because a group of parents refused to vaccinate their kids and 15 wound up in the hospital with complications. Of course they didn't mention that 1 in 150 kids have autism in this country!! And that most if not all of the kids involved in this "epidemic" are vaccinated kids!!! If you are as outraged as I am, PLEASE take a moment to voice your outrage by sending an e-mail to listenerservices@.... Tell them to correct the imbalance by inviting McCarthyand Barbara Loe Fisher onto the show to tell their side of the story. Thanks, FanoMedia CoordinatorHolistic Moms Networkwww.holisticmoms.org(877) HOL-MOMS National HQ My Cell

Well NPR is heavily subsidized by big pharm; making them part of the

problem. So many people see NPR as this last bastion of truth in

journalism which is clearly a total lie. I am not saying not to write

letters or that I won't write them. It is just another uphill battle.

This amanda peete is such a pest.

I heard about this piece too and was curious as to who they

interviewed - I'll go look it up to listen now.

To be fair - I learned of the segment because they read an email from

a listener like you who said everything I wanted to hear to correct

what ever misinformed/one sided information that the interviewees shared.

I think encouraging them to have someone like a physician - not only a

celebrity - would be good. I would love for Dr. Jasper who wrote

Changing the Course of Autism to be heard.
