I thought the stevia made it taste even worse,

more bitter - adding honey was the trick for us!

and try one sip of tea, then one sip of a favorite

drink for a chaser, might cut the after taste??

I have also found when my son has to take something

offensive, to give him a lollipop before it, seems

to coat the tongue a bit and mask what is going in!

My lovely wife mixes the half cup of tea with pear juice and adds

about six drops of stevia (a natural sweetener).

Thank you, too, for your help. I will try the honey and the lollipop

is a great idea! My son will definitely go for that.

I really appreciate your suggestions.

Thank you!

Lori, for us it was just getting my son used to the tea. I tasted it myself so I knew it was not horrible. He used to gag and it took several times of him spitting it out. Now he drinks it with no problems at all.>> I thought the stevia made it taste even worse,> more bitter - adding honey was the trick for us!> and try one sip of tea, then one sip of a favorite> drink for a chaser, might cut the after taste??> I have also found when my son has to take something> offensive, to give him a lollipop before it, seems> to coat the tongue a bit and mask what is going in!> > > >

Same here. I thought it was much worse with the stevia. I'm going to try flavored stevia because the honey isn't going over well here

Kerrie

Thanks Jill. Hopefully that will happen with my son. He was quite

the trooper today and was able to keep all but the last 2oz. down

today. So, hopefully, each day will get better. My next challenge

is to get him to drink it quicker. It takes him over an hour to get

it all down. But, like you said, hopefully as he gets used to it, it

will go down easier and quicker:)

Thanks again for your input and encouragement.

Kerrie, let me know if you have any luck with the flavored Stevia.

We tried it initially and it did not help, so we are trying honey.

Today was the first full day.

We have been using Agave Nectar (Vanilla in particular). My kids love it and use it on the gluten free waffles.

It's not as thick as honey, so it pours a little quicker. You can find it at any of the natural grocery stores.

They like it better than stevia.

I have always found it in the sweetener section, whether it's in the regular grocery store or the health food store.

Do you find the agave nectar in the syrup section or the sugar section?Sandy Cell:
