Guest guest
Oh, I forgot to mention that while you are viewing the game you are hooked up to the eeg machine. (A little electronic sensor is 'glued ' to your head with something like lubricating gel) I spend 1/2 my time each session on one side then the other. The therapist looks at what the main concerns of the person (or parent)are and determines whether it is a left or right brained function. Then he places the sensor appropriately. I just happened to have things that applied to right and left side of the brain. This is where the training for the therapist comes in. Progress is charted by the observations of the person or parent at successive appointments. A check list of behavioral concerns is rated at the beginning and again at certain appointments thereafter. I know my daughter-in-law said the changes were so gradual that she did realize how many there were til she went back to the first appointment sheet she filled out on her son. Then she saw how much many of the behaviors had improved. But the big one, his uncontrollable temper, was noted and easily observed without really looking back. It has helped a ton!!!!!!Dee
