Guest guest
Thank you so much Chris! After reading it only shows 's, I wanted to check here to see if it would even be worthwhile to do. Is there anything else I should know before doing the stim? Not take thyroid meds before? (and if so, how long to wait after last dose) Do a certain time of day? (my sleep schedule has been waking around noon and sleeping around 4am) Side effects? Etc? Thank you, Joy > > Most docs, especially endos only use the stim to look for complete > adrenal failure ('s), in other words, are the adrenals working or not. They don't look for anything inbetween. The stim does show many things (not just 's) if you know how to interpret. > > No matter what the docs interpretation of the stim is, post it here. > > Chris >
Guest guest
Joy, I can't remember if I posted this to you on the main board or somebody else, but the stim test will get you amped up from all the extra cortisol (unless you don't respond). At least it did me and I didn't even respond that strongly. I would do it in the morning so you have the day to unwind from it and take your thyroid meds as normal I would think. Plan to have a nice, relaxing day afterwards. Take a bath, drink some wine, smoke some whacky weed if you're so inclined watch your favorite girly movie, and chill out. What's your surgery for btw? Guest guest
Sounds almost exactly like what you told me.. and I can't thank you enough...I showed up on the morning I was supposed to have the test alone and was expecting to drive home.. Fortunately, the test had to be cancelled... I won't be driving when it does take place, that's for sure... BUT, you didn't mention the 'wacky weed' to me....j =}~ Joy, > > I can't remember if I posted this to you on the main board or somebody > else, but the stim test will get you amped up from all the extra > cortisol (unless you don't respond).
