Guest guest
Would this cause an unexplained miscarriages late in the preganncy, with several pregnancies? Carol F Placental Insufficiency, IUGR and adrenals/thyroid Dear all,Has anyone else suffered in pregnancy with Placental Insufficiencyleading to Intra Uterine Growth Retardation (IUGR)? Is there a linkbetween this and untreated/undiagnosed Thyroid or Adrenal problems? Iam convinced that I was hypothyroid/hypoadrenal/both 13 years ago whenI was pregnant with my daughter. She stopped growing at 32 weeks gestation due to IUGR and placentalinsufficiency. She was delivered 2 weeks early but was distressed andabout 2lbs underweight. She also had a low blood sugar and washypothermic (cold)! Does anyone else see a link here? She has now gotHypermobility problems, ADHD and possibly Aspergers. What d'yall think?jodi2ben

I'm new to all this " yahoo Groups " thing so not sure how it all works. My daughter doesn't have a low thyroid or adrenal problem as far as I know. She is hyper! What brought about your daughters treatment on Armour etc?

I thought she would be sluggish etc if this was the case. Could my being low thryroid/adrenal when pregnant have caused her problems now then? Guest guest
Yes, Jodi- ADHD is also low thyroid. Thyroid is weird who it can be like me, slow, cold, fat AND it can be skinny and ADHD, too. My bet is that the ADHD kids are running on stressed adrenal energy. Everytime I see an ADD or ADHD kid on amphetamine based mood/behavior mod drugs, I want to holler - got to www.canaryclub.org and run the tests! A famous thyroid researcher, Edna Kyrie, was just mentioning the connection between thyroid & ADHD being discussed in the April edition of New Scientist in the article 'Hyperactivity Drugs Are Out Of Control' in the 1st April magazine. You're not thick, the docs who have taken common sense out of medicine are the ones who are thick. All this information was common knowledge before synthetic T4 took away doctors' ability to think... Guest guest
Think about it: they treat ADHD with speed. What's the body's normal source of energy modification? The thyroid. What makes some people, especially kids, keep functioning even with low thyroid? The adrenals.Deborah ADHD is also low thyroid.
