Guest guest
Thanks Kenda I'm going to give him a call - I guess on Monday. Where do you live? Tonight is family night, and the kids want to go to the mall - I think I might make it as far as the massage chair at Boscovs. Cherie > >> > >> Cherie, > >> > >> You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Kenda - that's what I'm afraid of with going off the meds. The weird thing is that as bad as I felt - to have explant, I have never felt this bad. I am so very thankful to all of you right now. I never realized how toxic I must be - I did have the feeling the meds were only a quick fix and making my problem worse. Guest guest
Cherie, I know it must be tough for you. I am planning on going on a fast for the first time. Changing my dietary habits before I think will help. I only drink water. I try to eat foods that are raw or steamed, so I can get the maximum benefit from them. In that book I was telling you about, she says that fruits and vegetable are considered alkaline foods, which actually helping in cleansing your blood, or ultimately your body. A fast is probably the next step you should consider. I have had many people tell me this over the past week. I work at a fitness center and we have a nutritionist on staff, so if there are any questions you would like me to ask, I can. Fasting is a great way to cleanse yourself and spend that time in prayer. I'll let you know how it goes. I am not sure when I will start, but probably next week. After the fast, it is recommended to eat only raw fruits and veggies for the next few days. I hope this helps! As far as the antihistamine, I had to start taking mine again. I let it go for two days and start itching so badly I took a benadryl. I did this for two nights and it made me lethargic during the day. I have that! So, I started my allegra, but will try to go off it before I fast. I have being dependent on a pill!! Ginger > > > > Cherie, > > > > You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Ginger, I am having a better day today, the pain is a little bit better - so long as I don't sneeze or yawn or make any sudden movement! I am going to call Kenda's Dr. Leu's office on Monday and see if I can arrange a consult. I think I need the assistance of a doctor before I go on a fast. Please let me know how you do on it. How long will you fast? I too have been dependent on allergy meds for 25 years. I'm on my second day now, and I'm pretty congested, but I'm okay. Not itching too bad yet. Glad to know we're all in this together. Cherie > > > > > > Cherie, > > > > > > You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Patty I've heard somewhere else recently of coffee enemas (maybe Dr. Weil?). I would be interested in anything that would alleviate some pain! Cherie > > > > Hi - I need to find a doctor, but don't know what to do. Guest guest
Hey Cherie, My fingers are really sore today, not so much the joints, more like bone pain. I've been thinking that I'd probably progress much better if I were detoxing. At first I was hoping that eating healthy food and drinking water would do the trick, but I think I need a boost. Dr. Leu's going to probably think it's a coincidence that he's got two of us calling for the same reason!! I had a call from a hiring manager for a job I applied for a few days ago, and he said his secretary would call back to set up an appointment, but she never did. I was feeling pretty emotional this morning and told my husband I feel like such a loser, I've worked my entire life and am worried (I got downsized almost a year ago). My sister and I went to Trader Joe's today. I bought some muffins sweetened with fruit!! They weren't organic but at least they weren't loaded with sugar, and weren't made with white flour. Most of what I picked up was organic, and the other stuff at least had ingredients I was familiar with and could pronounce!! I was standing in line and the guy in back of me showed me this yogurt that he bought, and he said the FDA actually pulled it for a while, and here they allow all this other junk to poison us. I told him my opinion of the FDA (not a good one!). Sis > > > > > > > > Cherie, > > > > > > > > You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Sis I was wondering if you were having a better day with your joints. The sudden weather change doesn't help either I'll bet. I know what you mean, I think I need a boost too. I'm hoping Dr. Leu can help put us on the right track - even without seeing us in person. I'm in a similar situation with work. I have been working for myself for the last five years, very successfully. But in the summer, my main client got a new machine that automatically produces the reports, and they don't need me anymore. I felt like a real loser. I have gotten some new work in, but it's just not at all like it was. I worry about the bills and contributing - and just feeling worthwhile. But you know what, I think God really knew what he was doing for you and I, because we need time to heal without the stress of being busy with work. You also have school, and look how good you did on your exams! The bills have been paid - though when I look at it on paper it doesn't make any sense! God is good. I'm glad you liked Trader Joes. Hope you found some good stuff. You do still have to watch for ingredients - check the meat to make sure it says " no growth hormones or antibiotics " and that it says no hydrogenated oils, things like that. I find now I know just what I'm looking for each week. When I first started, it took me a long time in there. I'm feeling quite a bit better today - can you tell - I'm quite windy tonight! Guest guest
Hi Cherie - I'm glad you're having a good day. I seem to go in an upswing followed by a downswing, and right now I'm in a downswing. Joints are sore, bones are sore. I think you're right about the job thing, we get what we need, when we need it - and I probably didn't need all that stress the past few months. I was reading labels at Trader Joe's, but as you said I've got alot to learn, too. I picked up some dried blueberries sweetened with fruit juice, which was nice because all the dried fruits in the store are always sweetened with sugar. Blueberries are supposed to be very good for you, although I don't know if that applies to dried ones. However, they taste good! School starts up on Wednesday, by the way, although I'll have two days with only one class, and two days with 3 classes.
