Guest guest
Sonya, I have not seen him personally but live 20 mins. from his office. I do know of a mom that took her son to him for a while, and ended up using another local DAN dr. that a lot of us in this area use (Dr Rao in Plano). From what I have heard (again hear say) is that he is fairly old school and not current on DAN protocol. The mom I know had a severely allergy ridden child, and I think that he is more current on those treatments (though Dr Rao is an allergy specialist by nature also, so...). Overall, I haven't heard great things about Dr Kotsanis - consensus, many move on after being with him for a while. > > Has anyone seen or know of anyone who's seen Dr. Kotsanis in > Grapevine, Texas? > If so how was your experience? > You can pm me if you'd rather. > He has an opening and we're considering doing a consult and start the > series of tests for my son. > > Sonya >
Guest guest
Sonya, I googled all I could on him back in April and made a clear decision after reading both good and bad, I wrote down the pros and cons and decided not to pursue him. His office is only 15 minutes away from me and I always see his advertisement in the Keller paper. I see another DAN Doc(Dr. Alfred ) and he is almost an hour away (I have 4 kids in diapers, mind you) and it is worth the drive, for my 3 yr old son (PDD-NOS) that is. While I was at my DAN Doc's office, I have spoken to many mothers and they say that they also see Dr. Rao in addition to Dr. . I've also heard from the parents that Rao is also good. You may e-mail me privately should you have additional questions with regards to my son's experience with our DAN. Good luck and let us know if Kotsanis is good for you child. As always, every child is different every doctor has strengths and weaknesses. Guest guest
Right now I'm looking for the DAN Dr. in DFW would would do the best tests for my son, i.e. allergy, metals, fungus/candida and any others they think he might need. It looks like they do different types of allergy testing so I'm not sure what's best. They're so expensive I want to make sure I get the best info. out of them and do the right tests.
