Guest guest
It looks like a little teapot. You fill it with warm water and salt, tilt your head and run the water through one nostril, then tilt your head the other way and do the other. Blow your nose following and all the excess water and garbage in your sinuses will come out. I swear by mine! I even talked my sister into buying one for chronic sinus problem and she's a believer now too. Guest guest
Cherie, I have a netipot, also. It is a little kettle you can buy at the health food store. All you do is mix salt water, per the instructions, and put it in your nostrils. The salt water goes through you sinuses to get all the gunk out. It helps relieve the pressure a lot. I hope the doctor can help. It sounds like you are starting to take the right steps by replacing bad things in your diet with good. For some, a little at a time, is better than cold turkey. I remember reading Dr. Kolb's protocol for detoxing before I had my surgery, and it scared me. But after I cleaned up my eating habits, it doesn't seem as daunting. I had to kick my diet coke habit first. Being addicted to caffeine is/was a nightmare! I admit: I AM A CAFFEINE ADDICT, therefore I can't even casually have one anymore. Hopefully, this will put a smile on your face. You're in my prayers! Ginger > > >>>> > > >>>> Cherie, > > >>>> > > >>>> You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Ginger I can understand the addiction thing - I used to smoke. I smoked for years, then when I had kids, I didn't want to smoke around them, then I would sneak them - oh boy life got messy - always looking for an excuse to go out and buy milk! I'm so glad that's in the past - however, I know that I can never have even one!! Cherie > > > >>>> > > > >>>> Cherie, > > > >>>> > > > >>>> You are in a cycle of pain, disease and medications. Guest guest
Oh, the last time I had a cold I bought one - it did work pretty good, though I have to say I was so congested it just wasn't breaking through! I'll try it again. I did all I could today, running around for the kids - pain is back in full force, it's cold and rainy, and I am in my pajamas at 4:30 PM! Guest guest
You can sniff the water in a bit and that will help with congestion. Also, using it after you take a hot shower will help break up the congestion too. Lucky you, cold weather! We've had temps up in the 70's for the last few weeks, it's winter, it's supposed to be cold and rainy!
