Unfortunately there are no definete tests that say the implants are

causing problems, the only way to know for sure is to have them

removed. It really sounds like she is suffering from them and has

all the symptoms. I know it is hard and I know your dad especially

will want to have proof but there just isn't a test yet.I know the

ladies here can be a great help. Also there are several Doctors on

explantation.com that are very helpful and you could call or email

for further explantation.

Hi Amy, Sorry to hear of your mom's illness.I am not an expert and can only speak from my own personal experience.I am a professional, educated person.I am only 29 years old.I also had saline implants.I suffered all of the same symptoms you describe your mom as having and then some.Although I was also assured by the medical community that it also was not implant related, I could not explain it and decided to have them removed. My insticts told me it was the implants. My symptoms also began with a loss of energy that was the immediate effect of the implants.I had my implants removed just under one week ago and I can not tell you how much I have improved already. Most of my symptoms are gone all together. Many of the other women here have experienced the same thing.I do not post here often.I am not nearly as knowlwdgable as many of the women here in this subject but I do KNOW that those toxic bags made me very ill whether the doctors care to admitt to it or not.I

also had no prior health problems of any kind.Your mother will certainly be in my prayers.I feel like my prayers where answered when I found this site. This board is full of some of the sweetest , most genuine souls you will ever encounter. The are very informed and extrordinarily healpful.Sincere best wishes to you and your family. Many doctors don't want to believe silicone implants cause problems because (1)

they

were told they don't and (2) there is a lot of money in sililcone medical

devices.

I know implants cause problems. My internist, neurologist and rheumatologist

know they

made me very ill.

Welcome Amy . . . Your mother is fortunate to have a

daughter looking out for her.

The Mayo Clinic is probably the last place that will

admit a connection with implants since they were well

paid by DOW to do studies " proving " implants are safe!

Chances are excellent that it is implants that are

causing your mothers health issues . . . all of her

symptoms have been reported by our women.

Where do you live? . . . Maybe we can help you find a

knowledgable surgeon who will remove her implants

correctly. It's very important that they be removed

" en bloc " . .. that is the capsule is removed with the

implant still inside so nothing spills into the chest

cavity. . . A good surgeon will also use drains to

prevent fluid buildup that may cause pain or

additional surgery!

Rogene

Amy,

I'm so sorry that your mother, father and yourself are going through

this. I got implants 8 months ago and within weeks I was having

problems. It started with diarhea, then heartburn, fatigue, then my

lymph nodes got sore. My feet started hurting as well. Then I

started having shooting pains in my legs. I developed a nervous

feeling that wouldn't go away, and my joints started to ache and

swell up. Then I developed a pain in my head, dizziness, numbness

in my fingers and toes. When I developed all of those symptoms, my

blood pressure skyrocketed, after a lifetime of low blood pressure.

The veins in my fingers throbbed and at times looked blue. I had

terrible anxiety attacks which I never suffered from before, and

have not had since explant. Since my explant two months ago, I have

noticed some improvements, and sometimes I suffer setbacks. My

blood pressure is now back down to normal. I haven't suffered from

heartburn. I also used to have a strange taste in the back of my

throat when I had the implants, and I haven't had that taste in at

least a month. I still have to take digestive enzymes to keep the

diarhea at bay, though. My joints do swell up if I've overdone it

or am under alot of stress, and the fatigue is still hanging around -

so perhaps that will be one of the last symptoms to go. The

headaches are improving as well. I hated the implants from day one,

and knew that I was healthy before I got them in, and knew that the

symptoms I was having were because of them. I am so happy to have

them out of my body. Some days I'm depressed about the situation

and am scared that I'll never be normal again, however I truly

believe I would have become incapacitated had I not gotten the

implants removed. I used Dr. Feng, who is located in Ohio, and she

believes that implants make us sick, and has explanted thousands of

women. I don't know how far of a ride it is to Ohio (Cleveland

area), but I drove about 6 hours to have my explant. The medical

community turns a deaf ear and a blind eye to implant illness, and

it is incredibly frustrating. It's like the elephant in the room,

no one wants to address it. I knew I could not live with the

implants in my body if they were questionable - I probably would

have had a nervous breakdown had I not gotten them removed.

Good luck to you, and please continue to post if you need

information. We're here to help eachother, and I've been helped by

this group in so many ways - I felt so alone before I found this

group, and now I feel I have a sisterhood of women who know exactly

what I'm going through.

Oh Lea,

I'm so sorry to hear more people are dying! . . . Did

anyone ever make a connection between their illness

and their implants?

I'm afraid many deaths are being written up as not

related to implants!

I hate to hear you're back on antibiotics . . . But I

know you need them! . . . Please take some probiotics

to help offset the damage to the beneficial flora in

your system.

Hugs,

Amy,

I am so sorry to hear of all of the trials and suffering your mother

and your family are going through. It is hard enough going through

cancer...then to have the implant illness on top of all that is just

tragic.

And I can totally understand your frustration. I belive we have a

woman on our group named Kathie who is going through these same

frustrations in Arizona. Doctors just seem absolutely blind to the

idea that implants are making women sick, and finding a good doctor

to take care of your mother is going to be a challenge. I hate to

say that, and I certainly hope that will not be the case for you,

but the knowledgeable, trustworthy doctors who understand implant

illness are as rare as hen's teeth.

Can you call Dr. Feng in Ohio, just to talk to someone there in her

office? They will help give you the validation that you need

regarding the illness and the recommended course of action. They

may be able to refer you to someone. I am just pulling at straws

here, because it seems the midwest is sorely lacking in good doctors

for explants. Dr. Feng may be your best bet if the search for a good

doctor in Minnesota gets just too exhausting.

Testing is not likely to point to the implants. It never does.

What we have found is that our inner voices are what is most

trustworthy. We know we were healthy before implants, and sick

after, all with similar debilitating symptoms. The cure is removal

of the toxic implant. Healing can follow with proper detoxification

and support.

Let us know how we can help your mother and your family through this.
