Guest guest
Cherie, You're right, getting your cold is a reflection of your immune system. It's way too early for you to be concerned about healing not coming, it can take months or even years to build an immune system up after it has been knocked so low. There are lots of supplements you can take to start building like mushroom supplements that are actually used for building up the immune systems of cancer patients, Andrographis Plus, general good nutrition which helps your entire body plus vitamins and minerals. I used to catch every cold and flu that passed my way, I had a very weak immune system that was actually confirmed with lab tests. I take more supplements than most people are willing to stay well but it works. I also eat a 90% organic diet and exercise. I haven't been sick in nearly three years, even when family and friends are sick and around me. If I feel any minor symptom that would indicate that I could be catching a bug, I load up on additional supplements and sometimes get a B12/B Complex/C injection to help my body kick the bug before it gets a hold of me. It has worked very successfully, beating the bug before I ever get it. Concentrate on taking care of yourself and building your immune system and you'll do great in time. I can remember in the beginning of my natural health quest wondering why I still got sick when I was taking supplements. It simply takes time to build up a strong body. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, you are helping someone - you're helping me. I'm having ups and downs, and it helps to know I'm not alone. Just got over a nasty cold, too. Guest guest
Cherie, I can usually knock a cold out IF I catch it early enough by taking Echinecea . . . I'll start out with four capsules several times in one day. . . . I've never come down with a cold when I start as soon as I see the first signs - which, for me is a slightly sore throat on waking in the morning. I didn't do that just before Thanksgiving and caught a horrible cold! Someone at www.appleadayandbeyond.com told me that spraying a little Miracle II neutralizer on ones nostrils when that feeling comes on will knock out a cold too. Patty took several products with her on her missionary trip to India . . . I remember two of them Oil of Oregano and Olive Leaf extract. She said that she avoided the digestive problems that everyone else in the group developed. Guest guest
Hey All, As long as we are speaking of cold season, could you all pray that I don't get one before my explant on Feb. 3? I am so worried that something will get in the way of this surgery happening. I have 2 kids in upper elementary and they get exposed to many things and then bring them home. Thanks, Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: Cherie,I can usually knock a cold out IF I catch it earlyenough by taking Echinecea . . . I'll start out withfour capsules several times in one day. . . . Guest guest
Hi , I'll definitely pray for you. Maybe if you keep telling yourself that you won't catch a cold, your body will listen! In the meantime, I think Dr. Feng gives you vitamins to start taking 2 or 3 weeks before surgery (I think you're going to Dr. Feng, right?). Maybe that will help build up your immune system so you won't catch a cold. Guest guest
Sis, Yes, I got my package from Dr. Feng on Saturday. It was like a I was a kid opening up a gift on Christmas. My explant became more real to me after I saw our receipt for the down payment. I still have bitter-sweet feelings. I am struggling with how I am going to feel the first time I go bra shopping. I still remember when I was small chested how much I hated buying bras. I used to cry every time, because I wanted pretty lacy ones and all I could get was padded. The first thing I got after my implant surgery was a 's Secret credit card. I have this feeling that I will be "less feminine" as a small chested woman. No matter what, I have to go through with it, because I cannot live in all this pain anymore. auntsisnj <auntsisnj@...> wrote: Hi ,I'll definitely pray for you. Guest guest
, hopefully this isn't a duplicate message, I was typing one up and did something wrong, I think. Anyway, I felt less feminine with implants than I did before or after! I couldn't stand them, tried hiding them, and couldn't wait to get my natural body back. Femininity is more than breasts, I never felt anything other than feminine with my old body, and now that I've got my natural shape back, I still feel feminine. I felt like a freak once I got the implants, not to mention that they messed my health up right away! Big breasts do not a woman make!! Guest guest
, A long time ago, a formerly implanted women - who had lost both breasts completely, told me she had the best of both worlds after her implants were removed. She said she could go braless and be light an cool, or she could be whatever size she wanted by making her own padded bras. She padded her bras with polyfiber and sewed a fabric panel in place to hold the padding. The result was a very natural look. She " bounced " , was soft to hug, and looked great. One of her friends was puzzled because, although she didn't have implants, she had the same symptoms as her implanted friend. On further questioning it came out she was wearing a silicone prosthesis next to her skin. She complained that the prosthesis didn't last long . . . It made her skin sticky and was hard to remove. . . Duh! . . . They think they can put medication on patches so they can be absorbed through the skin . . . yet, when it comes to silicone???? What are they thinking??? Anyway the lesson is that, if you're going to use a silicone prosthesis in your bra, be sure there is fabric between the prosthesis and your skin! Guest guest
- Cherie I have found that hitting a cold and hitting it hard works best for me. I do great with any or a combo of these products and so does my family--they are true believers now. Flu-ban by East Park REsearch. It contains mainly olive leaf extract but also homopathics. It works well for us and the sooner you take it (or any remedy) after symptoms start the faster it works. Sambucol syrup. It is black elderberry extract and works well for flu and colds. Echinacea works great too. Must take frequently--like at least four times a day. Vitamin C in megadoses--to bowel tolerance. Take the powdered form. ONe tsp is 4 grams. Sambucol has a special formula that has vit c and echinecea in it already. I like it. Oil of oregano works well too. Also the chicken soup recipe in Maker's diet. After the cold I would stay on a product like oil of oregano or olive leaf on a regular basis. Hope these will help you! Guest guest
, I remember those same fears.... It's not as bad as it seems. YOu will still be able to find some pretty bras that will make you feel feminine and pretty. I also have found that wearing breast enhancers makes me feel much better about myself! I found a great bra on Ebay that are perfect for enhancers! It is called a Amber Bra, and it has a pocket in which it holds a padded push up gel thing. I don't really care for the gel thing inside it, but what is so great is that you can put any enhancer in it, and it will keep it from touching your skin. And they were very reasonably priced! Here's one with a picture of the inside of the cup: (Item number: 5459188349) http://cgi.ebay.com/NWT-36Gel-Push-Up-Bra--Amber-32C-Ship- FreeW-2BIN_W0QQitemZ5459188349QQcategoryZ63853QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem Or, you can just do a search with the words " Amber " . I love it, and so does my husband. He couldn't keep his hands off me! Guest guest
The movie was called " Supersize Me! " and boy, was it ever eye opening! Great entertainment too, if you want validation for your decision not to eat fast food! Mc's, Eeeeewwww, is right! Sis, I hope your flare doesn't last too long. These are bound to happen, whether you eat Mc's or not! Of course, eating well is important, but don't beat yourself up too bad about a few unhealthy choices. We all end up eating junk food of one sort or another as we heal. Cherie, I am a Trader Joe's customer too...love it, and you are right. You still have to read those labels. I was suprised how many items they carry with hydrogenated oils in them. But their organic stuff is really well priced! I am so thankful to have one close by. I wonder if they do internet sales? Guest guest
Hi Patty, Thank you. It's funny, I wrote in my previous email that I hadn't been sick in three years. I should have knocked on wood. I had a hair appointment about 10 days ago and my stylist was coughing and spewing all over the place. Lo and behold, a cold for Kenda, the first in many years. This cold is very mild, unlike the woman's who passed it to me. It's a nuisance to have a runny nose but I feel pretty darn good otherwise. I really think all of the immune building supplements I take have helped me to kick the cold fast and prevent it from becoming severe. One thing I do daily, even when I'm not sick, is use a Neti Pot. According to Yogis, this will help prevent illness as well. Kenda > Kenda, > You have a great testimony of healing.
