Guest guest
Congrats! I am so jealous! I was in school full time for Nursing when my symptoms hit hard. Of course it hit my writing arm the worst. I had to drop all my classes for last fall, and I had to drop my classes for this winter term last week. I hope to be able to go back and pick up where I left off by fall '06. What are you studying? auntsisnj <auntsisnj@...> wrote: Hi friends,I was posting a few weeks back about my final exams (and how I stressed myself to the max). Well, the results are finally in, and I'm thrilled. I got one A, two B+'s, and two B's. Yes!! I don't think I ever did that good in high school (in fact I know I didn't). During the summer semester I got all A's, however I only had two classes and was suffering from the implants but not as badly as this past semester. I'm pretty amazed, as sick as I was in this past semester, with a heavier course load, having surgery, that I was able to pull off the grades I did. Sis DSL Something to write home about. Guest guest
That's wonderful Sis - I think the difference between high school and now is the desire to learn. Guest guest
- I'm studying Business Management. So far I've taken English Comp, Algebra, Accounting, Economics and Business Org & Mgmt. Next semester I've got another accounting class, business math, principles of management and principles of marketing. Guest guest
Cherie, You're so right . . . I got my degree late and had a ball doing it! . . . We " senior " students studied harder (probably because we had to) and took classes more seriously than those just out of highschool. The profs had fun with us because we didn't care if our views agreed with the professor or not. They would ask the class questions, then after the younger students had their say, would ask the older students what we thought. We turned the class on it's head as the professor sat back and enjoyed the fireworks! I'm taking a pottery class now . . . there are a group of us seniors who keep coming back for the same classes - We continue to be amazed at how lightly the younger students take the class. As a result, less than half complete, or get credit for, the course! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
Congradulations Sis, I know you really, really earned those grades! . . . Everything should get easier next sememster! Hugs, Rogene
Guest guest
- Sis Congratulations. You should be proud of your accomplishments. I don't know how you did it. I don't think I could have passed the simplest test right before I got my explant. I had so much drunken- like brain fog I felt like I was high on drugs most of the time. I am so happy to hear your good news! Guest guest
Kathy, Thanks so much. I am just so relieved that I did well, because I tend to beat myself up over things like this, even under normal conditions. I pushed myself so hard - I remember sitting in class feeling as if I might faint at any moment due to my symptoms, but just kept telling myself to stick it out. Now that you mention it, I am feeling a bit proud of myself afterall. With the implants out, I feel as if there's hope for a future now, and I'm trying to find a new job (I was downsized in 2005) - although I'm enrolled for next semester just in case I don't get a job. I'm investigating ways of getting credit for my previous job experience, so hopefully there will be a few classes I can bypass as I work towards a degree. Hmmm, I wonder if I can get college credit for living through the nightmare of implants!!! Ha ha!!! Thanks!!
