Guest guest
Hey there! I am glad to hear that your breasts are looking good! I am a Dr. Kolb patient so here are some answers to your questions... 1.) Wear your sports bra for the complete 4 weeks. Then at your appt. ask her if you should continue or not to 6. I stopped at 4 and I was fine. It is very important that you wear the sports bra. Things need to be tight and kept in place. It is annoying, and what some girls did was wear a bra over it when they went to work so they look more filled out. 2.)Do not do any weight lifting until after 6 weeks. You can hurt yourself. I dont know about you but she did an internal lift and the inside stitches started popping up thru my skin after i ran the vacuum one day! So gross. Remember it is healing. I wouldn't chance it, relax!!! 3.)As for the ointment I used it every day on my wounds that were open. Once they closed up I started using Vitamin E and that Maderma crap. ( i am not a fan of the maderma, waste of money in my eyes. the vitamin E works better) Hope that helps. I know it sux not being able to excercise but don't rush it! The time goes by quick and before you know it your 6 weeks will be up! By the way, I live all the way up in OH and she does return calls and emails quickly. At least she has for me! Take care and rest up!!! Guest guest
Regarding exercise: At six weeks I was told " okay as long you as you stay well supported " , meaning sports bra. > > > > > > Cosima, > > > > > > Think in terms of sitting on a pillow and what happens > > > after you get off the pillow. . . > > > > > > It takes a bit longer, but your breasts will do > > > essentially the same thing! > > > > > > Hugs, > > > > > > Rogene > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Charlotte that's great about the drains. I know how you feel about being small again - sometimes I am just so thrilled to be myself and not have the weight of the implants, and other times, I get a little discouraged that I can't fill out a bra. At least your nipples popped back out - mine have not yet. I hope you get feeling better soon, and congratulations!! Guest guest
Jenna thanks for answering my questions. i don't think she ever mentioned an internal lift to me. what is that? but she did mention while taking out the stitches yesterday that i might start " spitting " stitches and they'd poke through my skin, and if i did to put some ointment on them and i'd need to come back sooner.what did you do about yours? well that settles it for me, i'm not touching the vacuum cleaner or anything like that for at least 4 wks even though she said you can do stuff after 3 wks. i dont' know if my sports bra is tight enough. i don't think it's as tight as that binder was but i can't wear that binder for 4 wks and she said only to wear it for another couple of days over my sports bra but i simply can't. i've had a cold and asthma and i couldn't even take a deep breath or cough much while i had that thing on, which was contributing to me not doing too well.the sports bra feel snug but i can put my hand under it on my breast so i'm not sure. i could put some kind of padding in it to help matters if i really had to. just how tight does the sports bra have to be and how can i tell if it's tight enough? the lower edge of the bra also rests over my incisions but i put a folded up kleenex under each edge. my sports bra always feel like its riding up from the bottom although it doesn't look like it but the binder always felt like it was slipping down from the top(and it was) because it had nothing to hold it up on the shoulders. and that's even though it was tight so i'm thinking the riding up fee isn't because my bra isn't tight enough. could be just because it's over my incisions.i still have terrible itching but not as bad as before the bvinder was removed. dr. kolb said it was probably a reaction to the solution they put on my skin and to shower and wash it off. i did but it still itches and the places where the tape and binder were look scalded-red like they've been burned so maybe it was the tape and binder. > > > > > > > > Cosima, > > > > > > > > Think in terms of sitting on a pillow and what happens > > > > after you get off the pillow. . . > > > > > > > > It takes a bit longer, but your breasts will do > > > > essentially the same thing! > > > > > > > > Hugs, > > > > > > > > Rogene > > > > > > > > > >
