Valtrex dosage too high? 500 mg twice a day? 3 year old?

We just picked up the script yesterday and I plan to call the doc to

see if the dosage is correct but thought I'd ask you guys first.

She's 28 pounds. This seems like too much to start with. Each pill

is 500 mg and she's to take 2 a day.

What's your dosage?
