Bad combination: Risperdal & OLE???

Hello.

I have a 9 year old son which has been taking Risperdal for the past 7

months, we are in the process of lowering his dosage slowly. He was

on 1 1/2 tablets, now he is down to over half of one tablet. Things

have been going well, until today. He had a major psychotic (sp??)

episode this morning before school. He attacked both his brother and

I. I know if a child has had Risperdal removed rapidly, OCD, stimming

and old behaviors may present once again. He is non-verbal and has no

way to communicate his discomfort, but I am assuming that he could

have been having a headache ( because he constantly closed his eyes &

rubbed his temples). Does anyone recommend giving OLE while I am

taking him off Risperdal? Just wondering!
