Itching and the liver

Itching seems to be another common problem for some of us women. I

think there has been some discussion of taking benadryl or an

antihistimine for itching and hives....I can't find the posts, but I

wanted to just mention an idea again I've shared often, and that is

to urge all of you to do what you can to support your livers.

Itching can be a sign of liver dysfunction, as well as of

undiagnosed allergies (which are also tied in with the liver) and I

think it is just good insurance for us to be proactive in doing

things that support our livers. I think the liver is what is hit the

hardest from our implants. It is an amazing organ--our workhorse for

clearing out toxins.

Here's a link that talks about causes of itching:

However, I greatly disagree with their treatment for correcting the

normal flow of bile!

Here are some better ideas from an ND:

" ... as a milder form of encouraging good bile flow, I suggest to my

patients that they use lemon juice and olive oil as condiments to

flavor their foods and dress their salads. Or - make a " cocktail " of

the juice of 1/2 lemon and a teaspoon or two of extra virgin olive

oil in half a glass of spring or filtered water and drink it after

eating their main meal. "

The liver flush is a debated therapy, but for some people produces

outstanding results. I believe both Rogene and Kathy had great

results with a liver flush.

Here's this British woman's testimony of her cure of Chronic Fatigue

Syndrome after doing liver flushes from the curezone forum:

http://curezone.com/forums/m.asp?f=476 & i=1448

Yes the bile is pea green in colour.I have done 17 flushes now and

have 80% recovered from ME[CFS].My 'stones' have a skin of brownish

cream colour and are pea green inside, some are harder than others

although some are crumbly and all can be squashed with the fingers.

I have not expelled any calcified stones. Also the stones from the

middle flushes had had pink liver fluke wraped up inside them. I was

able to identify them from slides I made from the dead fluke. Stones

are made from bilerubin and chloresterol. If you are ill try it and

see. Stones are definately not emulsified citrus juice and oil.

Every flush produces a different result, although I have followed

the Dr protocol to the letter each time.It is the only

treatment that has worked for me after 20 years of thousands of

pounds spent on different therapys. Love and Light Deotima.

HEALTHY INTERVENTIONS FOR THE LIVER

Whatever you can do to alleviate stress placed on the liver will

have a

beneficial effect on overall health. Exercise, saunas, intestinal

cleansing,

and juice fasting are useful adjuncts to detoxification. Various

supplements

and interventions have been found by herbalists and nutritionists to

be

effective in detoxifying and stimulating liver function. Some

suggest

drinking organic apple juice on a daily basis to help with liver and

gallbladder

detoxification, but this has also been known to cause stomach pains.

Inter-

ventions that can strengthen and detoxify the liver include:

1. Milk thistle, or its active ingredient, silymarin, helps fight

liver damage

by stimulating protein synthesis, stabilizing cell membranes, and

accelerating

the process of liver tissue regeneration. Silymarin works as an

antioxidant

by inhibiting the amounts of toxins that can penetrate the cell

walls of the

liver. Among other things, it has powerful antihistamine, antiviral

and

anti-allergy properties.

2. Vitamin E is a major fat-soluble antioxidant that can help

detoxify the

liver. Other useful supplements include cystine, a liver protective

nutrient

found in egg yolk and mammal meat (N-acetyl cystine is the most

useable form of

the supplement), glutathione, a combination of three amino acids,

has

detoxification properties; and Coenzyme Q 10, which protects and

energizes the

liver.

3. Avoiding red meats, concentrated fats, processed sugar,

preservatives, and

food additives increases liver cell regeneration.

4. Nutrients that support liver function include the trace

minerals; zinc,

copper, manganese, selenium, and molybdenum. Magnesium is an

important

alkaline mineral which assists in the excretion of toxins.

5. Foods that are beneficial for the liver are: lemon, dandelion

greens,

mustard greens, black radish, saffron, watercress, beets, parsley,

artichokes,

cherries, grapefruits, parsnips, garlic, onion, horseradish, lime,

wheat germ,

and lecithin.
