Guest guest
Hi MK, Welcome to ! . . . You've found the place to find information! . . . IMHO, you can cancel all your doctors appointments, except the one with your plastic surgeon (and that's a maybe). Your description of your problems is way too familiar. Being given a host of diagnoses can cause you to become uninsurable in the future. If you need immediate care, by all means see your doctor. But, going from doctor to doctor is fruitless. Either we don't test positive for what's really going on, or they don't test us for it! Going from doctor and collecting diagnoses, and maybe a bunch of medications (that have their own problems) isn't going to mean much until you get your implants PROPERLY removed and you do some detoxing. We have tons of information in the archives. Look under Files and Links. . . Then there are the messages from women like you who have gotten much better after explant. Right now the critical thing is that your doctor will remove your implants properly. That means " en bloc " . .. . MOST PS's DON'T THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT. En bloc means removing the capsule with the implant still inside to prevent spilling any of a host of bad organisms into your chest cavity. A good doctor will also use drains to prevent fluid accumulation in your body. It takes more time and skill on the part of the doctor. If a doctor tells you it's not necessary, or that you will be deformed, consider that a testimony to that doctors skill and move on! We have a list of recommended doctors. Hopefully one is near you if you need to find another doctor. In the meantime, we may be able to help you reduce your pain until you get your implants out. There are a number of natural products that are excellent . . . some are even very cheap! . . . Here's a brief list . . . We can fill you in on them a little at a time: eat fresh, raw, crushed, garlic - as many as 12 cloves a day (start with one though) Take a combination of Calcium (two parts) to one part Magnesium. Do a websearch for " Magnesium Research Laboratory " for details. This computer isn't doing searches right, or I'd find the address for you. Dr. Mannsman will fill you in on what kind of Calcium/Magnesium to get and how much to take. Soak in a hot bath of Espom Salts . . . Yesterday someone recommended rubbing down with a lemon cut in half after bathing to open the pores. Skin is a major detox organ. Sweating is the means. Take probiotics . . . I recommend Garden of Life Fungal Defense (one bottle) followed by Primal Defense indefinitely. Best prices can be had at www.appleadayandbeyond.com. If you will phone, email, or fax your order you will get an additional discount. Eat healthy . . . NO sugar, no refined grains (whole grains OK), no junk food, no processed food. . . i.e. make it yourself from healthy ingredients. Eat raw foods and lightly steamed foods if possible. Organic if possible. Drink plenty of pure water (non-chlorinated). 1/2 ounce per pound of body weight is recommended - more if you are sweating heavily. Get plenty of deep sleep (neat trick with three small kids! Your body repairs itself in deep sleep. If you're not sleeping deeply, you are going to hurt. Fibromyalgia goes hand in hand with a sleep disorder. Find a way to manage stress and anger. . . Both are like acid in ones body. It will eat you alive! There are a lot of techinques to choose from - imaging, deep breathing, mental gymnastics, etc. Get a moderate amount of exercise - even if you hurt. With FM, the less active you are, the more you hurt. As far as the surgery goes, it's much easier than implant surgery. Pain is minimal, recovery is pretty quick. You may find that, as you start to detox, your symptoms will temporarily increase. That's to be expected. As you learn to differentiate a Herx from real illness, you will come to appreciate the fact that a Herx is evidence that you needed to do that! . .. . When it's over you'll feel better than you did before. Fasting . . . Patty is the fast expert . . . Let her fill you in on the how's and why's of fasting. Coffee enemas . . . Patty can fill you in on that too! .. . . They can relieve pain quickly. I'm sure the ladies here will have much more information. We want to help women get over their implant experience! We know you can, because we've seen so many women who have. That's the good news. . . The bad news is that, while you can feel better, you'll be treading water until you have your implants removed. Don't think that, because you feel better, you're in control . . . Things can get worse! I have a feeling you're not going to wait very long to get your implants out though! Guest guest
Hi We are so glad that you were able to find our site. Yes, your symptoms sound so very typical of women sick from implants. These symptoms are exceedingly common and you are smart to want to get them out. We have a list of doctors here that we can recommend that believe that implants make women sick and can do a good job for you. The majority of women who get explanted are able to regain health. Many women find that they will need to detoxify their bodies by a variety of methods following explant to aid in their recovery. There is alot of valuable information on this site on about just every aspect of getting explanted and recovering. We are a very helpful and friendly group of women committed to helping and supporting each other and getting the word out about the harm caused by implants. I am sorry that your husband was just deployed. I can imagine that this is a very stressful time for you in just about everyway possible. We will be here for you to support you when he cannot. Are your parents supportive of you? Do they live closeby? It would be great if they did. Your ps may not be the person you want to see. They most often disagree that your implants are the cause of your illness and often make you feel like you will be making a huge mistake if you get explanted. Of course that is not true, but be prepared because this often happens. Whoever you go to, you need to make sure they will remove the entire capsule along with the implant and preferably without deflating the implant first. If the capsule is left behind (which ps's like to do because it is easier) there is less of a chance for a good recovery. I know it must be tough to take care of three young children by yourself and be fighting poor health to boot. Alot of us have been there and can relate. There is light at the end of the tunnel and you can look forward to getting better. Guest guest
Hi to you to - I'm so glad you found us. I was in exactly your situation a few months ago. I had my implants in 1997 and was also happy with the results. I had two young kids (an infant and a one year old) at the time. For some women, they get sick right away, for me it was a couple years into it. The summer I hit 40, I thought - wow, is this what I can expect? I felt awful, with horrible pains in my chest and between my shoulder blades, horrible fatigue, and I felt like my blood got hot when I would walk up a flight of stairs. I want to all sorts of doctors, they thought fibromyalgia for me too. This past summer a bone scan and CT scan diagnosed spondyloarthropathy (a form of arthritis). No doctor EVER told me it could be the implants, in fact, when I brought it up they emphatically said no. I found this site and have learned so much from these wonderful women - and I just couldn't believe that so many women with implants were sick with similar symptoms, I knew it couldn't be coincidence. I was explanted in October. I have had some real encouraging times of feeling good since then, but I am back to feeling pain again. I realize that, because the implants were a foreign body in side of me, my own immune system went haywire, and it is going to take a lot of prayer and hard work to get it working well again. Your PS is probably going to tell you that your are not sick from the implants. Mine did the first time I went back to him. When I went back three years later, after much prayer, he responded differently, and agreed that, though he doesn't believe everyone gets sick from implants, that I could be having an immune reaction to them. All the women here will tell you that you need to go to a doctor who believes what you know to be true, and also who will remove the implant intact, along with the capsule that has formed around the implant. Depending on your area, the girls here can help you find a good doc. Hang in there, and know that you don't have to suffer the rest of your life. Be encouraged that so many women have healed after explant. I'll be praying for you as you figure things out and try to make important decisions about your health. You're not alone!! Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry you're sick but happy you're here. This site has been my salvation, and I felt completely alone until I was lead here. I had my explant in early November and I'm so glad they're out of my body. Some people see a change in their health immediately after explant, others take more time to heal - which is the case with myself. We'll help you in any way possible with information and support, so as the song says " lean on me when you're not strong " . Guest guest
Hi, I am glad you are here. Just like you I had McGhan in the year 2000. (April) And just like you my symptoms started about a year ago. I have almost the same story, except Fibro is my only diagnosis, besides Interstitial Cystitis. There hasn't been a doctor yet who can tell me what is wrong and what is causing this. After I found this site earlier this month, I am convinced it is my implants. I am 32 years old and shouldn't feel like an old lady. I have had to stop working and stop attending my classes for Nursing. I have just recently convinced my gerneral practitioner that my implants are causing my symptoms. I have my explant surgery date scheduled for Feb. 3. I have chosen Dr. Lu-Feng in Ohio. This is going to be a 7 hour drive for us, but she is highly recommeded from many on this site. Where do you live? If close enough you might just try giving her office a call or at least look at her website. Your children need a healthly mom, you need a Dr. who will give you the best care. Like Rogene stated, get them removed " en- bloc " . In good health, --- In , " mkkinzy1 " <mkkinzy@m...> wrote: > > Hi, > > I am here in hopes to gain support in my recent findings about > implants.
