Guest guest
Thanks a, From what I could see on the mammogram film - they left it up on the room while I was waiting, so I had a good look - was that there was a BB sized opaque spot. Completely clear on the film. Around it is something that looks circular and fibrous that's probably ten times the size of the BB. She said she was trying to flatten it out with the mammogram, but it didn't flatten. I watched as the tech did the sonogram . . . She would find the area, then take a photo of the blood supply around it. It didn't appear to have a blood supply. What that means, I don't know! My doctor finally called this evening. He's going to try to get one of his associates to do a tissue biopsy ASAP so we can make a decision about our trip. I'm thinking that, if we're lucky, and all goes well, we will probably delay our trip a couple days! My doctor suggested that I take my films and reports to a doctor in Mesa, AZ . . But I don't want to. Friends have told us that their medical system is so overloaded in the winter that service is pathetic. Hopefully by noon tomorrow I'll have some more direction. Right now the schedule problem is stressing me more than the mass! I'm praying it's benign so I can look at this as just a bad dream! Tomorrow the car goes into the shop for its own checkup while I go to school and play in the mud (pottery). Usually I love it, but I'm feeling stress there too since I'll be missing so many classes in spite of having so much I want to accomplish. If anyone's interested in my pottery, I have a online photo album of my work. Thanks for your prayers, Rogene
Guest guest
Rogene, I think it's a good sign that they could not find a blood supply to the spot on your mammogram. Certain types of tumors have veins running through them, for some reason blood vessels grow through them, giving them life and helping them continue to grow. I'd love to see your pottery, please supply your web address.
