Guest guest
hi sherry, biopsy is not that bad. They did mine right on the ultrasound table. I layed on my back, a little toward my left and streched, so as to spread open my rib cage on my right side. Using the ultrasound, the found my liver, placed a mark on my, then used a small needle to numb, then a bigger needle to go a little deeper. Then they went in and got piece of liver. I never felt anything but pressure, and a little something like a vibration. NO PAIN, it was over in a few minutes, then i had to lay on my right side for a few hours(watching tv) just to make sure no bleeding jim
Guest guest
Hi Sherry Lynn, A suggestion, if your doctor says you having any procedure or medication, you have the right to ask for details about what is going to be done, what you have to do to prepare, what will happen afterwards, etc., etc. Actually, any good doctor should talk to you about that anyway. My clinic provides detailed written material, the doctor talks to me, the nurse follows up at least 1 week before any procedures. Also, check the Internet for general websites on liver biopsies. http://www.arens.com/brian/biopsy.htm http://www.uth.tmc.edu/~atonnese/fo_hp_bx.html http://americanhs.org/ah00020.html http://www.borland-groover.com/articles/liverbiopsy.htm http://www.med.umich.edu/1libr/tests/testl06.htm
Guest guest
Hey Rogene, A BB size with opaque center and a fibrous looking larger coating 10 times BB? You know it being hard sounds like calcification, I don't know that much it, but have you bounced around fishing on the internet to some possiblities? How long has it been since your explant? Do you feel it has any kind of connection? I would love to take a look at your pottery. I have done ceramics and loved it. Pottery looks fun. Everything will be fine I just feel it. a
