Guest guest
Jenna, i was surprised to read that you're still sore after 3 months although i was thinking to myself just the other day why am i so sore after 3 wks. i think i recovered from my 5 hr hysterectomy quicker in terms of soreness. i was hoping to be able to lift weights again after 6 wks post-implant but if i'm still sore like this i don't see how i can. also what rogene said about scar tissue and stretching alarmed me and i thought i must be sore because of that or afraid i was overdoing my regular activities but i think it's too soon for that to be happening for me maybe.when you're working out what kinds of exercise are you doing? i'm thinking this week i'll start to do some light stretching but not too much where the chest muscles are concerned and abdominal exercises in small doses of course. dr. kolb said no stenuous activities for 3 wks post-op but these wont be anything near strenuous. i'm still not doing the vacuuming yet after what you said about spitting stitches after you did that.i see dr. kolb on feb 2nd and by then it'll have been 5 wks since surgery so maybe i can get more clarification then.and hopefully by then i can quit wearing bras as well, especially sports bras. > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > I am still feeling great after my explant almost one week ago; > howeve I > > just had a couple of questions... > > > > I have been wearing my sports bra religously, but it tends to > become > > uncomfortable towards the end of the day (my incisions are at the > > crease) the bottom of the bra rubs on the incisions therefore > making it > > a bit uncomfortable. Guest guest
I would just ask Dr. Kolb then what she thinks! Also, i think everyone misunderstood what I said about being sore. I meant I was sore after working out for the first time in forever thats all! I am not sore from the surgery still. I did chest excersices at the gym with my husband, he really pushed me so the next day I was very sore and i couldn't even lift up my arms. This is normal though, I just think I should have eased into it instead of pushing myself so hard the first time back in the gym. Anyhow, I started using the machines at the gym that make you work out your chest muscles. as for what type of excersises they are...I have no idea! I am so dumb when it comes to working out. I just ask my husband and he shows me which ones to use. As for vacuuming, if you have someone else to do it at home for you I would milk that up as long as you can! I only wish my husband would still vacuum for me like he did when I was sore from surgery! ha! take care! jenna > > > > > > Hi Ladies, > > > > > > I am still feeling great after my explant almost one week ago; > > howeve I > > > just had a couple of questions... > > > > > > I have been wearing my sports bra religously, but it tends to > > become > > > uncomfortable towards the end of the day (my incisions are at the > > > crease) the bottom of the bra rubs on the incisions therefore > > making it > > > a bit uncomfortable.
