Guest guest
Hello, I have a question about Lyme testing. My son was on an anti-viral/anti-bacterial called LDM100 for 2 months. After this he developed a bone infection (which is healed now) so he's been on antibiotics for almost 6 weeks. He was on 2 weeks of IV anti-biotics - Clindamycin (sp?), followed by 2 weeks of Oral Clindamycin, and finally 2 weeks of Flagyl to clear suspected Clostridia infection. I'm wondering if now is a good time to test for Lyme. Previous testing for Lyme has been negative (Western Blot). The lab was NOT Igenex. Our DAN didn't think it would make a difference which lab we used. In any case, I have read that the Lyme needs to be stirred before testing either using Samento, Cat's Claw, or anti-biotics. I was planning on using Fry labs this time to get the testing done as that one came highly recommended for Lyme testing if I'm not mistaken. My question is, should I get the testing done now? He still has a couple of days of anti-biotics left. If so, exactly what tests should I order to make sure I also test for co-infections, which lab (Is Fry lab the best?), and what other precautions do I need to take? Thanks in advance for your help! Guest guest
Unfortunately, many in mainstream medical think all labs are the same, and that is a big reason we are in this mess: a bunch of infections and toxins taking us over with normal lab results. You already tried a common lab, now give Igenex a try. Most on the lyme forums love Igenex results and have bad things to say about the other labs. The other labs don't seem to detect the different strains and such. Fry labs are great, but last word I got, they only detect coinfections, which are other infections people often have when they have lyme, and sometimes when they don't. Guest guest
It's a great time to run Igenex. However, the Fry photographic blood smear (don't do the whole panel) may be your best indicator of infection and this needs to be run after not having used pathogen fighters for 2 weeks +. Good luck. > > Hello, > > I have a question about Lyme testing. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply, Caryn. So you're saying that I could run the Igenex Western Blot now that we're on antibiotics, but wait for 2 weeks after completing anti-biotics to run the Fry lab blood smear test? Do I also need to get off probiotics in order to do the Fry lab test? TIA for your reply! Sangeeta
