Guest guest
MK I feel your pain.... I battled the sinus issue for years before and after my explant... I ended up having surgery twice after the explant to try to fix them. I think the constant infections are related to the implants for sure in my case as they found mold in my sinuses which of course my saline Mentors were full of upon removal.... Be very careful when the chronic use of the antibiotics.... I had a world of issues from using them for so long during my battles. It is awful maddening about others who just won't accept it... I have a friend like that as well.. Best of luck to you - try some natural help for your sinuses if you can.... Lots of raw garlic, coconut oil - several other that I can't remember really helped me especially when the yeast cycle starts... the antibiotics cause the yeast - the yeast makes the sinuses worse - it is a nasty circle of trouble for sure. shari
Guest guest
Hi, Yesterday my surgery which was scheduled for Friday was post-poned. I have been battling with a sinus infection since before Christmas. In the last week it has gotten worse. I have been on 3 rounds of antibiotics. Yesterday I saw my regular DR to discuss everything. I have to be off the antibotics for 2 weeks before I can even talk to the PS that will do the surgery, because it is an elective procedure. So now I am just praying that I get over my infection. I found out my insurance will pay for the removel of the implant, but not sure if it will cover the capsules. It has taken a lot of convincing on my part to get the capsules out. My regular DR has been a big help. I don't have a set date and don't see the PS until mid Feb. Last night I was talking to one of my girlfriends -- she works with a woman who got implants in the last 2 years. My friend is concerned about her, so she told her the nightmare I am going thru. Needless to say the woman could care less. She did however call her PS's office to ask about the implants. They told her that there is no silicone in her implants. And she feels great!! I forwarded the FDA link along with some other sites to my friend. The whole thing is so maddening. I know some of my friends are looking at me wondering if it is really the implants. Guest guest
Hi MK, If they really begin to doubt you, let them spend a few hours on this list. There are way too many similarities between all of you to be a coincidence. All it took was a day here and I put the brakes on being implanted. Guest guest
MK, Sorry your surgery has been postponed, but don't worry, it'll all come together - and how great that the insurance will cover the surgery - mine only covers explant if the implants were because of cancer, so I paid out of my own pocket (but it was worth every penny). Don't worry about the nay-sayers, either - mark my words if the girl who has had implants for two years suddenly started having symptoms, you would be the first person she would turn to. Some people don't have symptoms until a number of years after implant, and there are some lucky ones who never get sick, but as Kenda said - there are too many of us with the same symptoms for there to be no connection. My body never acted like this, and within weeks of having the implants put in, my body went totally haywire. Guest guest
BK, If insurance pays for explant, it should pay for capsule removal. What it's not likely to pay for is for replacement. Hugs, Rogene
