Guest guest
Cherie, sounds like it was a good session. I'm encouraged by this as well, and actually I have lost his phone number that Kenda had previously supplied - so if you or Kenda can post it again, I'll give him a call. I'm glad you're feeling hopeful, that is a very powerful thing when it comes to healing. Sis ----- Original Message -----From: Cherie Subject: Appointment with Dr. LeuDate: Thu, 26 Jan 2006 17:22:40 -0000Hi Kenda and everyone,I just hung up from my phone consult with Dr. Leu, and I was very happy with our meeting. I took a lot of notes, but don't know if I am able to relay everything. The plan of action though, is to first calm down the inflammation with a short taper of Prednisone. When I get to a half a tablet of Prednisone, I am going to start on Isocort and Meducare to keep the inflammation down. He said these natural products will help to keep the inflammation down, but aren't strong enough to calm down the major inflammation I have going on. I have to get blood work and have the urine test which he will send me. Eventually we will detox and do hormone testing, but the first thing is to calm down the inflammation. He explained everything to me about amino acids, seratonin, dopamine, etc. Hopefully I will never need Prednisone again, being in the care of someone qualified to help me manage my symptoms before they get as bad as they are now. I know Prednisone is dangerous, but I am just so relieved that very soon, I will have relief from my pain, and that with the proper supervision from Dr. Leu, I won't have to take it anymore.Feeling more hopeful than I have in a long time. Thanks for getting me the sooner appointment Kenda.Cherie -- _______________________________________________ Search for businesses by name, location, or phone number. -Lycos Yellow Pages http://yp.lycos.com
Guest guest
Sis - here's his info Leu 918-298-9300 I really think it's worth it to have someone so knowledgable with the immune system get you on a program. I like that he had a plan for me and he laid it out - not that it can't change, but I clearly understood where he was going and why. I feel that I was spinning my wheels trying to find solutions - like my diet, supplements, detoxing. All of this stuff is good, but I think I need direction from an expert. I think I end up spending just as much trying different supplements that didn't work - probably more. I don't think you will be disappointed if you get a consult with him. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I'm so glad everything went well with Dr. Leu today. One thing that I really like about him is that if he really feels you need a prescription drug, he will tell you. A lot of ND's are totally opposed to traditional medicine. Dr. Leu understands there are things that natural medicine just can't do as well. I'm sure the dose he has you on is the lowest dose he believes will help you. I take Isocort too and it has helped me tremendously. I'm also on herbal anti-inflammatories, likely for life. I hope you start feeling better really soon! Guest guest
Kenda - if you are low on B vitamins, what are your symptoms? Does low vitamin B come up in a standard CBC? Guest guest
Thanks Kenda - I liked him and am so hopeful. I took the prednisone the minute we hung up the phone and I already have so much relief. I can't describe how much I needed a break from the constant pain. I just caught myself singing a praise song with my kids - it felt good to be " light " enough to sing. I've been in such bad shape, that I'm sure my kids liked hearing me sing too. Now I can't seem to stop singing! Cherie --- In , Kenda Skaggs <skaggs@c...> wrote: > > Hi Cherie, > > I'm so glad everything went well with Dr. Leu today.
