I am sorry to hear about your horrible struggles, but what an end to

your story!!! It truly is amazing what a community will do for each

other when a story like yours is brought to light. I really wish you

happiness in your new home for many years to come. Once you're settled

in it will be easier to concentrate on nothing more than getting

better. Its also wonderful that you have a new man. I am so lucky that

my second husband met me with the illness and now that I am better we

are rediscovering me together. I am sure that will happen for you

too. : )

Hugs,

Hi ! Thanks for your sweet reply. I wish you happiness

also. It really does make a difference having someone to share

your life with that truly does love you and every aspect of you. I

love that you said " rediscovering me together. " That's such a

wonderful way to put it. Thanks again and take care!

Thanks for complimenting my site! My health improved greatly

within a week or two after explant. My vision got better, my joint

pain was less intense, I had swelling all over my body that went

away. Lots of little things like rashes went away. I still have pain

& fatigue every day. It really depends on how much I do that day

how bad it is. If I get emotional one day or do too much

physically, I'll be so fatigued for a few days that I can't even do

more than lay around the house.

I'm just trying to take it easy and not push myself, because that's

when I mess up is if I try to do too much. It's been a little over 2

years since my explant. I went through a " honeymoon phase " the

first year after explant, which I hear is pretty common. I felt great

for a few months, then started feeling bad again. It was really

frustrating and I wanted so badly to just finally feel better, but I

had to come to terms with the fact that it's going to be a while. I

think the way you take care of yourself really has alot to do with

how long it takes to get better (diet, detox, etc), but I know it takes

a while for everyone.

Something that has really seemed to help me is juicing. I've

been slacking off lately, but I was juicing organic vegetables and

fruit every day and putting in flax seed oil, liquid vitamins &

supplements and coconut oil - like a power drink. OH!!...and

taking hot epsom salt baths every night helped ALOT too!!

I know it's tough waiting to feel better, but you will. It helped me

so much to have a place like this support group to come and get

encouragement from women who have been through it. I hope

you see great improvements soon!

Yeah, I had about a month of the honeymoon phase and then started

feeling crummy again, and I notice if I get stressed or emotional

things get much worse. Pushing myself too hard seems to bring about

symptoms as well. That's the tough part, because I have always

pushed myself beyond my limits, and now my limits are even less than

they used to be. I do notice the days where I eat fresh veggies, I

feel better - I seem to have a hard time with consistency in my

diet, based on life's demands and a cashflow problem. However, I do

the best that I can under the circumstances.

I think we're all a pretty determined group of women, though - and

it amazes me how resilient we all are under some pretty awful

circumstances. I've got a sister who is not real strong and turns

to alcohol when she's got problems, which then causes a chain

reaction of more problems, so I'm glad that at least the good lord

gave me the strength to deal with this without turning to the bottle

(no matter how discouraging it is).
