Guest guest
Hi Cosima, Good to hear from you. I think the level of soreness probably depends on what you had done, and your own body. I was sore for about 4 weeks, and then it seemed to get better from there, but I still notice some discomfort under my arms and along the side of my breasts. I'm 3 months post-op now, and I remember my scars looked dark at first, but lately they really seem to be fading and getting thinner, and my breasts are looking alot like they looked before implants. I've still got some muscle indentation, but not as bad as right after explant. I'm still having sore joints and aches and pains, although some of my symptoms went away. I had an MRI done on my neck yesterday, because I fell right before Christmas and since then my fingers have been going really numb when I wake up in the AM - but my neck is fine, so maybe I landed on my hands and don't remember. The doctor tested my wrists and they got numb when he hit them with the little tool he uses, so he said he thinks the numbness could be carpal tunnel. I had numbness before explant, but it was a different kind of numbness than this, and since it happened after the fall and after explant, I'm thinking the fall jarred something. Luckily there are no herniated disks. I'm going to get physical therapy on my neck, because it's possible something is pinched slightly but doesn't show up on any tests. I'm about to start an exercise program, so this is a good place to start. Exercise helps the immune system, as long as you don't overdo it - so I'm going to start real slow. Guest guest
Cosima, It's great to hear from you! I just wish you were feeling like new by now! You are far enough along in your healing that massaging and stretching will help relieve the soreness . . . Just start gently. Scar tissue can take as long as two years to relax and act like your own tissue - if that's what feels tight. Are you doing anything to detox? . . . I know it's hard to work it into ones busy schedule, but you need to get the garbage out of your system that the implants left behind. . . liver flushes, Epsom salt baths, sweat therapies, probiotics, healthy diet, exercise, deep breathing (thank Kenda) . . . all help. Hugs and prayers, Rogene
