Guest guest
As far as I know, several decades ago, autism was thought to be childhood schizophrenia. However, that has been debunked long ago. I think there are some correlations between autism and higher rates of schizophrenia but the link is still sketchy at best. Guest guest
Hi Crystal- Here's an interesting website that compares the symptoms of Autism, Alzheimer's, and Schizophrenia... http://www.autismhelpforyou.com/Autism%20Alzheimer%27s%20Schizophrenia%20Compare\ d.htm The website belongs to a mom of an autistic child. She posts information from her own research as well as her own story. If only half of what she claims is true, it's scary. > > I just learned that a cousin has been diagnosed with schizophrenia. Guest guest
both autism and schizophrenia (and AD for that matter) can have chronic viral presence in the CNS as the underlying reason or trigger. autism is called Picks Disease (or similar spelling) when it hits adults. It is a rare disorder and no one calls it autism, probably for political reasons, but the symptoms are 100% identical to childhood autism natasa > > > I just learned that a cousin has been diagnosed with schizophrenia.
