Guest guest
Hi Rogene, I had never heard that negative organisms keep the body acid. Which organisms do this? Very interesting! I thought acid/alkaline balance was determined by diet alone. Kenda > > Diet . . . Sugar is a huge NO-NO. . . Guest guest
Yes, that is true. A diet high in (most) fruits and vegetables will keep the body's pH more alkaline. I wonder if there are organisms that change the body's pH. Even disease processes? Kenda > Maybe I misspoke . . . Guest guest
" Diet . . . Sugar is a huge NO-NO. . . Sugar feeds the negative organisms that keep your body acid and allows organisms like Candida and fungus to grow. . . Stopping sugar can be very hard because, if you have a fungal problem, those little nasties will scream " FEED ME, FEED ME, FEED ME " until they start dying off. " I see what I what I did! Guest guest
Wow, that is interesting, as when I was really ill, my feet really burned, in fact, when I got up in the morning and stepped down, they hurt so bad I cried. Guest guest
Having an acidic body sets it up to a host of illnesses and diseases, cancer being one of them. You can buy litmus paper at health food stores to check your body's pH. It is best to check your urine first thing in the morning. I have checked mine after eating different foods during the day to see how much it impacted by body's acidity. Juicing is good for an acidic pH. Fortunately I have an alkaline body with the diet I choose to eat. Kenda > Being acidic keeps your body from getting the benefit > from supplements/nutrition . . . Guest guest
Hi Kenda, I thought so too, until I thought about what it feels like to be aggressive in the sense of going after what you want in a positive, proactive way, rather than a nasty, violent way. Being aggressive in life can mean that you know what you want and you make it happen and you prosper as a result. The same with defensiveness, when thought of in terms of taking charge of your life and defending what you believe in. It can be empowering actually! Just my 2 cents anyway. Guest guest
Lynda, I know what you mean . . my feet never were that bad, but I found myself thinking twice before I considered walking across the room. My biggest nightmare was being in a big box store when my feet started burning! .. . . I could hardly get out of there! Some of the people in the EM support group were soaking their feet in a bucket of ice water (a big no-no), hanging their feet out the window in the winter, sleeping with a fan on their feet - which were sticking out from under the covers. . . . Some of them found the burning spreading to their hands and faces! .. . . Neurontin was the drug of choice! - creating a viscious circle. Dr. Mannsman (Magnesium Research Laboratory) tried to help, but, during the time I was there, he wasn't being taken seriously. His information saved me! Guest guest
Rogene, I discovered magnesium glycinate later, and boy, did it help the Restless Leg Syndrome. I avoided most of those drugs. I tried Neurontin for three days, boy, what a mistake. Awful. Going to a Naturopath was a great help to me. Guest guest
When I took Dr. Mannsman's information on Magnesiumn to my primary care doc, she recommended that I see a naturopath! . . . She felt he understood nutrition better than she did. Amazing, isn't it? There's a long, sad story behind Neurontin . . . A major scam by the drug industry! . . . The feds fined the manufacturer $430,000,000! . . . I doubt those who suffered as a result saw a . . . unless it was through SSDI payments! I heard an interesting point of view about prescription meds recently . . . When you think about it, it really makes sense: The reason prescription meds are available by prescription is because they have dangerous side effects. . . If they weren't dangerous, they could be sold over the counter! Nevertheless, the public has been taught to believe that prescription drugs are better! Guest guest
Not only that Rogene, but think about it in capitalistic terms...by keeping drugs prescription only, they control the price to their advantage, and ensure profitability to two groups: the doctors and the drug companies. In order to get the prescription, you have to see a doctor first. $$$ for him. (And there are " interested " parties trying to make vitamins and supplements regulated too. Can you imagine having to see a doctor first to try to buy some Vitamin C? I just don't buy the idea that vitamins need to be controlled, but they want us to believe that! They want complete and utter control!) And because drugs are not available over the counter, drug companies don't have to worry about competing for shelf space or be competitively priced. They can pretty much charge whatever they want. And get away with it. Keeping drugs prescription only creates an elite group with elite power. Sickening any way you look at it! Like Trudeau has pointed out in his book, " It's all about the money. Never forget that. " Patty In , Rogene S <saxony01@...> wrote: > > > > There's a long, sad story behind Neurontin . . .
