Hi,We are also living in North Carolina and have considered going to see Dr Harum. Do you think she does a good job? Did she have a long waiting list? Does she treat mainly children? Thanks for your input,Subject: Lab result helpTo: mb12 valtrex Date: Tuesday, December 16, 2008, 8:18 PM

Just talked with our DAN doctor, Dr. Harum who is also a

neurodevelopmental pediatrician, in Wilmington, NC, and found out my

son's blood work was not normal. SHOCKER...right! Anyway, liver

enzymes and electrolytes all normal. No evidence of strep, herpes or

measles. No food sensitivities. There were a few things elevated

though. The alkaline phosphotase was elevated 3 fold (these are the

words she used), the creatinine kinase was slightly elevated (1 1/2

fold), BB showed up in his blood at 3% which is not supposed to be

there at all (neuronal/brain injury inflammation) and natural killer

cells were low (at 1/2 of what they should be) and lastly his

porphorins were 2 fold elevated.

At this point, we do not have the hair, urine, and stool test results

back, so she wanted us to try a 5 day course of prednisone for the

brain inflammation and an herb, entitled arobinogalactin (not sure of

the spelling) to help increase the natural killer cells.

I guess my question would be does anyone know what all of this means

or knows how to better explain it to me? Has anyone ever used

prednisone for brain inflammation or used the herb mentioned above either?

Thank you so much in advance,

Christy

So far we like her. We've only seen her once. I don't know if she treats mainly children. I saw mostly children on the day we went. She has an HBOT chamber in her office. We waited 2 months. I live in Cary. Where do you live? Who are you seeing now?PS - has anyone heard of the herb, Arobinogalactin (ARCH) and/or used it?Thanks in advance~ChristyFrom: Houston
