Guest guest
Cheryl- thanks for that info but I'm still not clear on how we'll know when it's okay for him to go off the antivirals? We didn't draw viral titers yet and as I've heard sometimes they can be negative and our kids still have viral issues. So how long should it take to supress or kill the viruses. How long do most kids take Rx antivirals for? Mine responded very well but we pretty much had to beg our DAN to keep him on acyclovir. We do have a weak immune system. Thanks so much!! Guest guest
Cheryl- you're the bomb! that really helps a lot! Can you please go with me to my next DAN visit! I think my DAN is very new to viral testing because she keeps brushing it off. I've asked to draw them the last 3 visits and she'll talk around it by checking immune and inflammation markers. She said there are so many viruses- more viruses than bacteria-DUH. Next time I will say we want titers drawn. Do you think we should be drawing titers of the viruses that he recieved vaccines for or others. I was thinking measles, varicella zoster, EBV, HSV1 2 and 6, and CMV. Would that be thorough enough? > >>>> > >>>> Hi, > >>>> Our DAN!
