Have you been to a chiropractor to have your neck adjusted? I get numbness

in my hands if my neck is really out of alignment. If you are out of whack

from your fall and haven't been treated, I'd try that before jumping in and

getting an MRI.

I've been going to a chiropractor for 15 years, and he's been

adjusting me since I fell. I actually am frustrated with my

chiropractor - when he took over the practice from the his

predecessor, I was going once a month. Suddenly he started bringing

me in twice a month, then once a week, now twice a week, and it's

making me a little angry because I honestly think I hold my

adjustments better when I go less often. He's helped me in many

ways, but I've been going twice a week for 6 months, and it's

supposed to work the opposite way - you start out by going alot and

then the visits are spaced out further and further. I feel like

it's holding me together but it's not improving the situation, and

that's why I'd like to go to physical therapy. Maybe I should visit

a doctor who can give me a prescription for physical therapy without

having to get an MRI. Do you know if an MRI has adverse effects on

the body?

Kenda, I have the feeling my chiro is after the money as well, and I

noticed that when I didn't go to him for a few months, I actually

felt stronger. He called and after a few months and I told him that

I stopped coming because I felt I was coming in too often - and he

assured me that we'd make it a goal to decrease my visits, but that

hasn't happened. I think it's time to find someone else.
