Guest guest
, I am so sorry for your suffering. I will definately be praying for you and your children. I know how you feel, with the frustration with your implanting doctor. I wish I had been told six years ago that my tectured saline implants could cause certain auto-immune symptoms. I would have known what to watch for earlier. I could have had them taken out sooner. Please stay with this group, there is alot of imformation for managing and dealing with the symptoms. Lambert <manditenerife1@...> wrote: Ruptured Implants I have been reading your information in the hope that it could help me. 1 had soya implants in 1998 but had to have them replaced on 26th June 2001 after the publicity and the withdrawal from the market. They had actually leaked after giving birth to my daughter. The surgeon replaced them with silicone gel who informed me that they were quite safe and that it was a quick and simple operation lasting approx 30 minutes. The operation actually took 1hr and 40 minutes!!. I never received any after care or any information regarding the previous implants. After about 6 months, I noticed that the form has changed slightly, the right one appeared a little loose and saggy whilst the left one seemed unusually hard. I returned to see the surgeon who told me that there was no problem. I also asked him if the itching in my arms, which had started after the first implants was related, he said it was not. The itching in my arms was awful. It woke me at night and I saw several skin specialists to no avail. I had various blood test and biopsys which also revealed nothing. The link to the silicone implants went unnoticed. A year later, I began having joint problems and was referred to a bone specialist and after having various scans was told that it was inflammation of my joints and that I had arthiritis. The pains just worsened over the year, the itching carried on despite trying every cream etc on the market. 6 months ago things progressed. I got a sudden pain through my foot and was unable to walk. The hospital bound it and gave me inflamatory tablets. Then the same thing happened to my hand. Then again my foot and more recently I had an abcess on the top of my leg which has burst and is full of poison. I have an internal lump on the inside of my elbow and awful pains in my arms, upper neck, hips and spine. The itching in my arms is unbearable and can keep me up at night and I have small lumps under my skin. I have many scars and the spots often bleed through itching. I decided to go and see an English doctor. (I live in Tenerife and have been dealing with Spanish consultants). I told her what I thought, that the implants were leaking. She sent me for an Eco scan which has proved that is the case. The right breast is leaking and the other has capuslar leakage. I have a 3mm lump in the right breast, solid lesions and various other things they have written but I am unable to translate. I am going to see a surgeon tomorrow and I have a letter from my Doctor asking for an MRI Scan to see where the silicone has travelled. To say I am scared is an understatement. I have children who depend one me and more so as their father died suddenly in December. If I had been told of the risks involved I would never had gone ahead with implants but more importantly, if I had known what silicone can do to your body and how ill it can make you, I would have been able to diagnose the problem myself much sooner. I thought this might help your web pages especially as my implants leaked after only 6 months!! (44 years) Use Photomail to share photos without annoying attachments. Guest guest
, Welcome to . . . It sounds like you've really been given the run around by your doctors. I feel deeply for you for the loss of your husband. I'm sure your loss is adding to the stress from having implants. . . And, we've learned that we don't handle stress well! As for English Doctors, I'd suggest Dr. Myhill . . . She's easy to find with a websearch. . . She's very knowledgable about breast implant matters. I'm afraid she's somewhat expensive though. I can't imagine your doctor not notifying you as soon as it was discovered how bad soy bean implants are! Once you get your implants out, your chances of beginning to heal are quite good . . . regardless of all the problems you are having now. We have a lot of suggestions for getting better . . . You'll find them in the archives and in messages - and from the wonderful women who stay with the group to help other women get through this nightmare. Guest guest
, Be sure to read the information on proper removal of implants. I think that if you could afford to come to the US to one of our doctors that we recommend you would have a better chance of complete removal. Guest guest
Hi , I'm very sorry that you've had so many problems recently - and I'm glad you found us. Having a group like this has been such a great relief for me these past few months, and we'll be there for you. It's hard to remain strong when you no longer know your body, but I know you want to remain strong for your children, and I know how difficult it is to hold it together when your world is falling apart. This site will help you on that front, when you're in need of comfort we'll listen, and when you need advice, you'll receive a number of suggestions and you can choose which one works best for you - but it's great to know that there are women who have been through this and can offer guidance. I'm going to school full-time and my Management Professor brought up business ethics and social responsibility of corporations, and cited Dow Corning as a company that had none of either of those qualities because of the problems with silicone breast implants. I was glad he brought it up, and of course we know that Mentor and Inamed fall into the same category as Dow, and that it's not only silicone making women sick, it's saline as well (and soya). Guest guest
- I am so so sorry for what happened to you. Each time I hear another story, I get upset and angry all over again. So many lives so thoughtlessly destroyed and yet they still continue to maintain these things are safe and hardly ever rupture. Unbelievable! You need to find a good PS who can remove these bags of poison and get as much silicone as possible out of you. Then you will need to detox detox detox and do whatever necessary to get your health built back up. We welcome you to our group, and we will support you in anyway we can. This is an awesome support group and I am so glad you found us. Guest guest
Hi, Thank you for your reply. In answer to your question, yes, I was pregnant whilst I had my soya implants in. They were removed when Ebony was 6 months old and replaced by silicone gel. Ebony is now 5 years old and beautiful though she did suffer many ailments as a baby including severe colic until she was 2, digestive problems, chest problems i.e. Bronchitis regularly. She still has chest infections every two months or so and also complains of pains in her legs often. I don't know wether this has any bearing as to me having implants, never thought about it before. I did not breastfeed. I have seen a surgeon today who has referred me to another one in the North of the Island as he said there was no-one qualified here in the South to deal with this. He actually told me not to worry and that they may not have to take the implants out!!! They are leaking so why wouldn't he want to take them out!! I now have an appointment on 10th March to see the other surgeon, who is a plastic surgeon and also I am having my MRI Scan to hopefully establish as to where the silicone has gone. I am going to buy some detox products tomorrow (if I can get them here in Tenerife). Do I have any grounds to Sue the surgeon who did the implants? I have no information on them, what make etc., and the guy won't speak with me either. Thank you again, - Tenerife. -- Re: Fw: Ruptured Implants ,Welcome to . . . Guest guest
, I've sent you an invitation to SiliconeKids . . . You'll find your daughter's problems aren't unusual among children of implanted mothers. . . Even soya implants had silicone shells. . . I don't know if platinum was used as a catalyst in the shells, or what was used with the soya oil . . . However, the ionized platinum that leaches from silicone is a very potent neurotoxin. A product I'm using to fight cancer, Natural Cellular Defense, is noted for removing heavy metals and other toxins from the body. If you'll do a websearch, you'll find a lot of info. I wish you were here in the states . . . There is some testing for platinum available. . . Contact m keeling <keeling.m@...> . Maybe she can arrange testing for you. I believe all that's required is a blood test. Shari belongs to both this group and the kids group. She has an affected son. Lana and are two SiliconeKids members who you can talk to as well. The main thing you need to be assured of is that the doctor will remove the capsule that has grown around your implants. The capsule contains debris that will significantly delay, or prevent, your healing. This is called a total capsulectomy. . . A good surgeon will also put drains in until there is no signficant drainage. Hugs and prayers, Rogene

Guest guest
Most assuredly! That soybean oil goes rancid! And if it ruptures in the body, watch out. Rancid oils are extremely toxic to the body, causing cancer and all kinds of other malfunctions. I believe that is why the implants were removed from the market. Another example of a " new and improved! " touted implant that turned to disaster because those involved in the marketing of implants have no clue about such things....just wild ideas without adequate research, using women as guinea pigs. A sickening way to do business. Guest guest
Hi , It makes me so sad to read your story! You have been through so much. And it is a scary situation to be the sole parent of your children (I am so sorry to hear of your husband's sudden death. That was traumatic enough, I am sure.) and be so sick. I remember how difficult it was to be a good mommy to my kids when I was so very ill. All the symptoms you mention are just so classic for implant disease. And that goes for silicone gel, saline, soya (what our Ilena derisively calls " tofu titties " ), double lumen, or anything other kind of implant that the manufacturer's have managed to market. They all produce a classic constellation of symptoms that are very telling. The itching can be from various sources, but one that seems probable is due to liver congestion or neuropathy--both problems associated with implants. Many women have this itching phenomenon, as well as muscle twitching, numbness, tingling, and so on. We do have contact links for you in England, as well as members from this group who are in England and who may be able to provide you some support. Dr. Sara Myhill is one who seems to understand this silicone illness, and so I hope you will consider seeing her if you can. I will provide some links for you. Check out Dawn Beaven's site: http://siliconesurvivors.co.uk/ Dr. Myhill's Site: http://www.drmyhill.co.uk/article.cfm?id=86 God bless you , I hope we can help you feel surrounded by caring friends and offer words of hope and encouragement as well as practical help. Patty > I have been reading your information in the hope that it could help me. > > (44 years) >
Guest guest
, I am so sorry to hear that your daughter has suffered from these ailments. I am so thankful that Rogene started her Silicone Kids group on ...I believe it is a very important and much needed focus as the kids have been ignored for far too long. I believe the situation in England is more dire than the one we have in America. At least we have a ban on silicone gel implants, but even that is a farce. In any case, finding help from any medical professionals is always a challenge. The few that do understand our problems are like hidden treasures, and we are so happy when we find them! I don't think you will get very far trying to sue the plastic surgeon, but with a history of soy implants, things might be a little different for you in your case. Detoxing is a must for you. But first, explant. That will be the best thing of all. Patty > > Hi, > Thank you for your reply. In answer to your question, yes, I was pregnant > whilst I had my soya implants in.
