I'm sherry. I had saline implants done twice. Right after the first time, I had major depression and ended up in the hospital getting shock treatment and before the implants, I felt fine..normal. That was in 1988. Then in '92, i decided to go larger. I had the saline again. By the maker of style 168 (Maker:McGhan Med. Corp. They are now named InAmed. But slowly over the years, I've had more and more problems. Sickness/illnesses most likely from what I've researched, I've had at least 95 percent of the problems. Illnesses include most recent after having my implants for 13 years is..flu-like symptoms, weakness of joints/muscles, hair falling out, arthritis in hips, problems getting up in the morning and putting pressure on my feet, shingles about 2 weeks ago under my right breast (which my doctor says is caused from low immune or immune deficiency (which I've heard is caused from deterioration of the outer shell made of silica (silicone), which can get fungi/mold or bacteria and goes through the body. I've been so weak/chronic fatigued recently and muscles so weak, I could hardly hold my head up and do anything. I have joint pain, numbness/tingling and shooting pains in my arms/legs/hands. I became so ill, i went to urgent care. My kidneys were hurting and i had blood in my urine. They told i had some sort of infection and my white blood count was up trying to fight off whatever infection my body had. They said i probably had a urinary tract/bladder infection. I know for a fact that I didn't have a bladder infection. I've had them in the past and it hurts and you're constantly running to the restroom. I had no symptoms of this. So I know they were wrong. My husband asks me all the time why i can't remember even an hour ago. My memory or brain fog has increased. I have memory problems, shooting pain/soreness in my left breast. It was like a knife was being twisted in my chest. I went to emergency, thinking I was having a heart attack. I was there for six hours with different tests being run. They chalked it up to a panic attack/anxiety. Well, I think anyone would panic if they thought they were having a heart attack. I told them all of these symptoms and at the time had no idea it could be related to the silicone outer shell of the implant. I'VE READ BY RESEARCH, THAT THE OUTER SHELL OF THE SALINE IMPLANTS ARE MADE OF HIGHLY TOXIC FUMED SILICA AND IS DISTRIBUTED THROUGHOUT THE BODY AND STORED IN THE MAJOR ORGANS. I've read that the silicone is like sionide..a slow poisoning of the body. My chiropractors employee had implants and died of brain cancer..SO SAD. Anyway, keep getting bounced back and forth with all these doctors and they tell me that 'everything seems normal'. So they referred me to go back to my cosmetic surgeon or specialists in this field. So I went back to the same surgeon that implanted me yesterday. He just takes a look at me, grabs my breasts after i told him how extremely ill I've become..tells me if i want to remove them, to do so. He did tell me that I should have taken them out a long time ago. I wasn't told when i got the implants that they were not a lifetime thing. I guess you're supposed to replace them every certain amount of years. I've been on disability since my first implants from him from the depression crash/anxiety/hospitalization. How am i going to come up (He says this is a discount!) with $4000 to have them removed so i can feel like a normal, healthy human being again?! I'm trying to get a referral from my primary care physician so (I PRAY!) it can be submitted to the insurance to get an approval. Please pray they approve this!!! Do you have any info i could give my doctor as proof there's extreme illnesses caused by these implants? Is there a site or does anyone have a response how I can encourage my HMO/PPO insurance to approve the removal? Do these surgeons even take insurance? I thought most places (like my surgeon), did not take insurance. Not even for these medical problems related to what they do. The ones I know of, take cash/credit card. Any advice? Can you tell me how to get this on the site?, so I can get other input? Does anyone else have all these illnesses? Thank You for your help. I very much appreciate it and God bless you.
