Guest guest
Annemie, Thanks for the update on your dogs. I understand about the worries of a pet. I hate it. It is just like your children--you wish that it could be you instead. I have a cat that is sick and probably will be until she passes. She has feline lymphoma. She has special food, which is very expensive, but that is okay. She also has meds that she will be on for the rest of her life. The vet said she doesn't need to be put down, so we put that on hold. Thank God! I hate hearing her in distress. Enjoy your dogs. Dogs Rule! Jodie > > > > > > Hello all > I hope that you are all doing good and are having a good day?? > I want to update you on the doggies:) > Lexi is doing wonderfully , she is fiesty , but also very sweet , at times I see her even licking the eyes and ears of Macy clean , they are not dirty or what but she keeps licking them for her,.. > A very sweet sight > Macy on the other hand is not doing too great right now, she has been having diahrea for a few days and on sunday there even was a little blood when she was doing her busness,.. so I did call the vet,.. from what I told him he sayd it probably isnt anything bad just ,or she did force herself by pressing to hard when pooping ,. and a artiry has popped , but to keep an eye on that ,. from what I noticed she wasnt different in her behaviour but a little slower, she played with Lexi and all that and drank enough water , and did eat ok ,. On monday she didnt eat at all , and normall she sort of attacks the foodbowl,.. and I couldnt intrest her in water also,.. > So again I did call the vet , I spoke to another one now , she sayd that that was the 2nd dog she heard of in 2 days time that has such a symptoms ,. and thinks she caught a little virus somewhere:(( So I had to get over there to get medicine, tablets that I have to give to her 2 times a day and dietfood, that food will make sort of protective film on the inside of her intestense,..and calm it down, plus the food is easier to digest for her right now ,. the vet sayd it could be, that she has been dewormed , moved her and the change was a bit overwhelming for her ,.. > Not to worry , this food should help her and her intestense to get back on track , so for 6 days i have to give her these pills and the food i will give her untill the 2 kg package is done, and it should do the trick for her,.. > Now she still is a little tired but she does drink well and she loves to food,.. > I noticed that she is progressing bit by bit,.. > The vet sayd that I should see change for the better in two days so I will wait and see,.. > On friday I will take both the girls to see my best friend , she has been in hospital and isnt allowed to be alone, and asked me to come over with the girls and keep her company,.. it is an hour drive but I am sure the girls will love it there ,they got 3 doggies as well:))) > And my best friend will then meet Macy for the first time:)) > I will keep you all posted;) > liefs > Annemie > >
Guest guest
I know Jodie that when your dog is sick you really rather want to have that yourself instead of your beloved pet,.. She will be better but I just hate to see her this way ,and yesterday she slided of the sofa and when I went and later got out with her she couldnt stand on that hind leg ,now she can and i dont see anything wrong with it but I am surely going to keep an eye on it also,.. I understand what you are saying about your cat,.. poor thing,.. liefs Annemie Re: update.. > Annemie, > > Thanks for the update on your dogs. I understand about the worries of > a pet. I hate it. Guest guest
Jodie, Which food is your cat on? We have the I/D Science Diet here after Max developed a really bad urinary tract infection. It's out of this world expensive, but worth every penny of course. We lost Kosmo in February to a urinary tract blockage and I don't want to go through that again ever! Hope your kitty does well on the diet. Chelle
Guest guest
Annemie, Do they have " pill pockets " at the pet stores where you live? They're little treats that you put the pills in and they just gulp them right down and ask for more. I've always hated giving my cats pills, but this time was much easier with the pill pockets. Hope your Macy is feeling better. Chelle
Guest guest
Hi Chelle, My kitty is on Hills Prescription Diet, Z/D; plus I give her prednisolone and antibiotics for her cancer. My husband is almost tothe point of going out of his mind with all her vomiting and diarrhea. Fortunately, he knows that I get so much enjoyment out of her that he tries to just deal with it. I have had her for 13 years. Jodie > > Jodie, > > Which food is your cat on? We have the I/D Science Diet here after Max developed a really bad urinary tract infection. Guest guest
Jodie, Why don't you try Purina one brands? My cat is on that, and has been doing so well. He is 8 years old. He was like your kitty, vomiting and the runs really bad, once I put him on Purina one, he started to feel better. Plus, I would have your vet check on your kitty. I have my cat on Purina one all naturals. And plus, my vet told me that Purina one and another brand I can't remember (it's not science diet) are the safest cat foods. Hope this helps Check me out on: *Myspace *Facebook ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Check out my kitty Otis on: Caster ~*~*~*~*~*~ " The only people you need in your life are the ones that need you in thiers " ~*~*~*~*~*~* " There comes a point in your life, when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore, and always will. Guest guest
Hey , My kitty, Lacey Jane, had Lymphoma cancer. That's why I have all these special things (food, meds, etc.). She was doing good when I gave her meds to her 2X a day, but they had me cut her back to just 1X daily. She goes back in next week. I may have to start giving her it more often again. I keep thinking that she might be suffering, but the vet says that she doesn't need to be put down. Cats can live a comfortable life with this cancer if they have meds. You sure have a nice picture on myspace. You and Tommie (i've seen her also) are just beautiful. Jodie > > > > Jodie, > > > > Which food is your cat on?
