Guest guest
Jeanne- Yes, the therapists do have some equipment at the clinic that we don't have at home. But most of it we have or can substitute. Thankfully, Aubrie hasn't been ill all winter except for a few ear infections. She seems to be more healthy than a typical kid in some ways. BTW -- the song is to the tune of " I've Been Working on the Railroad " . Being a preschool teacher, I made up songs like that all the time. You're very good at it! At a recent conference, I got info on a CD a woman made of songs she made up for her son with special needs. It's called " Gather Stars for Your Children " : Songs to Enhance Social Skills and a Welcoming Attitude by Jeanne Lyons. There is a website with samples of the songs at www.bitlink.com/jeannelyons. I haven't tried the website yet. The lady was featured on Dateline in Dec 98. Michele mom to Aubrie (16 mos) CHarGE and (7 yrs), wife to DJ, in IL westml@...
