Guest guest
Annemie, Thanks for updating us. Actually, I have been wondering about you some. There has been some articles, if you will, posted by you, but not much to do with yourself. So, obviously, I am glad that you have updated us. I hate when a person has to go through so much to see what is wrong. I understand that there are many problems that have the same symptoms, but wouldn't it be cool if we could just call the docs office and give them a few symptoms and they could hit it right on the nose everytime? **My mother always said that I was a dreamer** lol Jodie > > Hello > I hope this finds you all doing well.. > I need to update you, > Remember I told you about the problem that I couldnt go to the bathroom for 6 days,. and I got this meds from the doc that probably did cause that? > Well I have used them for 3 days untill I noticed that something was wrong and it had to do with the meds ,mainly that I couldnt go:(( > Since that was solved I still have terrible stomachaches , first it was a few times a week and I waited a bit to see if it got better but it didnt and saw my doc , she gave me magnesiumtablets and now after taking them a while it hasnt bettered:(( > I had the aches for 4 days in a row this week so today I got back to see her and she examened me , felt my tummy and (you know where) and she thinks there could be something in the colon that is blocking normal flow of number 2... So I have to have a colonscan done , I dont know when yet but probably after the tonsilectomy,.. > Two days before I have to take meds to clear the colon and when I get in for the scan they will give me an injection that does stop the movement of the colon for a little while and put a tube in ( you know where , the rear end ) and then fill the colon with air so that they have clear sight for the scan ,to see if there is something wrong there,... > I am soo not excited about that;((( > And on top of that , the past week or so the pain in my left leg got worse, I get electroshocks in my feet ,yes in both ,.. > I have to see the anastesiologist that is trying to help me with this problem on the 15th and I am surely going to tell him about it,.. > Will keep you posted... > liefs > Annemie > >
Guest guest
Annemie, It is so hard to remember the good parts of life when we're in constant pain. I think digestive problems are the absolute worst - I had trouble for 14 months until I discovered by accident that the lithium I was taking caused stomach trouble. I was down to 98 pounds by then, and I found food revolting and nauseating. I literally thought I would starve to death! Now that they've put me on zyprexa, I can't stop eating and am gaining weight fast. My husband's put out with that, because I keep having to go get new clothes! Ugh. I hope they figure out what's wrong. It sounded like maybe some of your problems were from the meds? I would definitely ask them. That's always my first question with any medication now - does it cause stomach problems. I'll live with the fibro pain, but don't upset my stomach! Guest guest
Hi Annemie To bad they can't do the colon scan when they have you out for your tonselectomy? Talk to your Dr. to see if it would be possible. It would save you some money.
