Guest guest
GIFTS????? Was she high at the time? ROFL I'm sorry, but where is the gift in chronic pain????? I'm spending more time with my kids, but it's not quality time. Most of the time I'm snapping at them or yelling at them because I just want to be left alone. That's not a gift. I'm also spending more time watching tv, which is such a waste of time, but what else are we supposed to do? I do cross stitch and have been spending a LOT of time doing that, but last night my hand started to really bother me, so I thought well if I can't even do the sewing, then where the hell am I at????? I assume that the pain counselor was NOT in chronic pain? Oh lordie, that's a good one. Chelle
Guest guest
Donnie, I think she meant that you should find the gift in your chronic pain and inability to work. Yes it is a gift if the government agrees with you, but you are right that it's a curse if you don't get enough to live on, which is usually the case. I am having a hard time in admitting that I can't do the things that I am supposed to do - around the house and bringing in an income and doing more with my children. I feel useless right now, and that's bringing me way down. I am going to have to readjust my way of thinking as to what makes my life worthwhile and what I am contributing and I'm having a hard time coming up with something. I think we all struggle with this, don't you? I know I'll cycle out of this depression eventually - it's just part of the grieving process as someone said. I'm grieving for the life I thought I would have and have to admit that I won't. That's a hard thing for me, because I always liked that I could be independent if I needed to be. Guest guest
Hey guys, I completely understand you about the heat. I live in Mass an the heat and humidity has been so bad lately, my pain just keeps getting worse. It is on average about 90 to 100 where i am and the humidity reaches about 80%, with no relief at night or early mornings. I have to work at 4am and it is already quiet humid, causing my glasses to fog upon walking out of the house. We all need to find a place that is like fall all year long huh??
