Guest guest
Ilena and Rogene: I am working on a class action with an attorney in New Orleans for saline breast implants patients. This is structured with both implant manufacturers in mind. The majority of the settlement will be for research and development. The research involves studying bio-markers in the blood of women who present with The Sick Silicone Syndrome and to develop a screening method before women get implants. We need all of the women we can find to participate in the class action to fund this much needed research. Women who become a part of this class action settlement will not personally gain financially. If the FDA and the NIH will not fund these essential studies we must create a way to perform this much needed research. We have the laboratories on board and the scientific panel. We just need funding. This will change the way plastic surgeons inform their patients and a mandate for this essential screening test prior to implantation. With this much needed testing, patients will be well informed about the potential side effects relating to their operation and health consequences. This will also develop a much needed implant registry. Saline implants have little attention related to illness. Most of the research focuses on the silicone rupturing causing illness. In actual fact, as we are all aware, silicone is silicone. It is present in the shell regardless of the content inside. We have started and will continue to inform women and change lives with all of these support groups. WOMEN HELPING WOMEN! I will email you with more information as it becomes available. Please have women who are interested email LIZ. Her address is liz@.... Deborah A.
