Hi there, we found out the same thing with our DD,she is 9 yo. We were chelating her for almost a year but her arsenic levels were still too high so her DAN asked us if we were eating lots of chicken, which we did.

After we swithed to organic chicken, the levels of arsenic went away down,BUT not completly gone and we still did chelation.

Six months later the other DAN told us to check our house ( by that time all our family was doing the chelation) because all four of us were showing high levels of lead.So we did.

I was relived and mad at myself for not doing it sooner.

The inspector found out that our lenox china that we had used EVERY day for FIVE YEARS had LEAD and ARSENIC in it!!! Never mind that I was chelating my DD for 18 months by that time AND poisining her at the same time!!!!

So we changed china and some other stuff and she is doing much better now.

To be honest with you, every change we had have made over last two years now had been hard and painful and exspensive, but to see my DD is slowly recovering is priceless!

Merry Christmas to all of you!

Natasha

Self Magazine article on toxic chicken

Hello friends,I'm posting this on other boards, but this is it:I just opened a self magazine that my mom was reading and there is an article (January 2009 issue) on page 114 regarding the toxins in chicken. Unfortunately, I realized this after our lab tests revealed that our son did have some Arsenic and I wondered, where the heck did he get Arsenic???!!! After some research, I discovered that it comes from chickens, as this mainstream article confirms. My friends think I'm an obsessed psycho for buying only organic meats. Well, I'm going to have to show them this! If you can't afford to buy organic, it lists some of the brands that don't contain Arsenic (70% of chicken contains Arsenic and the government isn't doing anything about it...the article says "Diddly Squak" to quote):Tyson, RockyJr. Natural Chicken, Gerber Amish and Smart Chicken. The most Arsenic is found in the organs of the chicken, so don't eat the liver, unless it's organic. Also, the skin is one of the worst sources. Keep this in mind when dining out in restaurants. Take care,Irene

My son tested high in arsenic as well...and the dan! doc told us

about the chicken then. I realized it wasn't enough to do

antibiotic/hormone free, which is what we had been doing. I think

the arsenic is in the chicken feed. I actually called

Naturals, the brand we buy and they assurred me that theirs has no

contact with arsenic. I find that it's actually cheaper to eat beef

now :(

What kind of inspector checked your house?

So, basically you did find out that your daughter's lead levels were lowered down because of chelation?

Did she show a jump in her skills after chelation?

I am totally confused about chelating my child......her lead levels are really high. We use reverse osmosis water and use ONLY organic foods.

Thanks a mill!

We recently tested our 28 year old porcelain tub and found it was

leaching lead. Here we were giving baths and long epsom soaks in this

tub trying to HELP our kids and instead were exposing them to lead

everytime. When they were in there for baths, I know they ingested the

water during playtime before they were washed. It would've been

impossible to avoid. :(

Hi Kari,

Here is his website: www.exposinglead.com

His name is .He checked about 300 items in our house.A few light fictures & lamps had led & arsenic as well so he gave a report on the items that were conteminated & I took them back to the store without any problems.

I did buy a few of each replacements and he came back and chek them for free.

The pretty light fictures still had led and arsenic and the ugly ones were safe.

So we went with safe ones, which my dh does not like at all but I am OK with the choices.

About the chicken: the brand that you buy sells at Ingles & they marked down the day before it expaires 50%.

So I buy everything they have & freese it.I can not buy beef b/c my son is allergic to it.
