Guest guest
too benefitted from therapeutic riding. He gave it up due to severe horsie allergies, but loved it, and the first word he wrote was " TARA " , the horse's name. He acted very autistic with people, but snuggled his cheek on Tara and got all his sensory stimulation from her. It was wonderful. It gives them a great sense of balance, being in control, and up high.
Guest guest
Cheryl- I've heard a lot about horseback riding as therapy and just found out there is a group who does it for free in my county! I think kids don't usually start til they're 2 yrs old, but I'll be finding out more about this specific program soon. I'm so glad is enjoying his experience! Guest guest
has also recently started the theraputic horse back riding. She loves it. She has a rider behind her as her balance is still off. The first time she was hesitant, she just went for the 3rd time and LOVED it! She bounced when the horse stopped. She wers the passy muir valve and was cooing to the horse and he whinnied back! It was a great time. After, we had brought " Yankee " some carrots and she gave them to him. I think this a great opportunity for them. We are now going to look into the " Dolphin therapy " ANyone have any comments? Cathie, Mom to
Guest guest
Cathie, I have a friend who has a 13 year old brain injured son who has been to Dolphin Therapy twice and loved it!!. They may be going again this summer, I haven't talked to her in a while. She gave me a brochure on it if you need any info. I know it's in FL, I think somewhere near Key West?? Anyway, she highly recommends it! Corrie Young mom to Peyton 2 & 1/2 CHARGE Re: therapeutic riding >From: NPTQueenie@... > > has also recently started the theraputic horse back riding. She loves >it.
