Guest guest
Yesterday I went to my insurance company to deliver information for my appeal. My insurance company had denied benefits to cover my explant. A petite middle aged woman helped me. She asked what my claim was for and I told her I had breast implants and I am having them explanted. I told her that I got them in 2000 and that the last 9 months have been a nightmare for me. I told her a few of my symptoms and what I have and am going thru. She was surprised that I was having this problem. She said she has implants and got them in 1997 at Mayo, but hers are saline. I said so our mine. I asked her if she has ever gone to the fda site or researched what her implants are made up of or was aware of the concerns of autoimmune problems. I said did you know that the shell is silicone?? I said I am not telling you that you are going to get sick -- but I will tell you to educate yourself. I pointed to my children that were bouncing around the lobby waiting area and said I just want to be a mom to my children. I was told by and I said the PS's name who she knew that having my implants out is a cosmetic nightmare. I also told her that the PS's RN told me that I will not be beautiful when I get them out. I said I don't see anything about my situation that is beautiful. And what I am going thru is a nightmare. My implants have cost me and are costing me way more than I ever spent to actually get my implants. She looked quite shaken and I am glad!!! Guest guest
Now, any quirky symptom she has, she make think twice. Many of my friends with implants have rashes, hives, and numbness but won't attribute it to the implants. Way to plant the seed!
