Guest guest
Has anyone had shoulder pain for seemingly no reason? A few months ago my shoulder started hurting and it hasn't stopped. I finally went in to see my internist, who said she thought I had torn my rotator cuff? I have done nothing that would put stress on my shoulder, so I have no idea what may have happened. Guest guest
It really could be. My shoulder is still funky after tearing my rotator three years ago and I do feel it all the way into my pecs sometimes. Kenda > Well I have had my implants out for two years. Guest guest
A good massage therapist can help with this problem of the shoulder. I would certainly consider that possibility. Having a good massage really keeps me moving and having a lot less pain. Lynda At 11:30 PM 3/13/2006, you wrote: >I don't know that mine 'pop'. Guest guest
If a shoulder freezes, the typical treatment is to hospitalize you and " break it " when you are under anesthesia. Guest guest
This is called " Frozen shoulder " or " adhesive capsulitis " and if you do some internet research, you will see that it happens for various reasons, but those include inflammation, and breast surgery. I've also seen autoimmune disease listed as a reason, including hypothyroidism. http://orthoinfo.aaos.org/fact/thr_report.cfm? Thread_ID=162 & topcategory=Shoulder http://www.medicinenet.com/frozen_shoulder/article.htm http://www.arthroscopy.com/sp04002.htm Early in my implant issue education, I had noticed that alot of women seemed to have this shoulder pain. Not all, but enough to wonder why, and realize that implants had yet another probable involvement. Conservative treatment is best! time heals! Guest guest
Sauna might afford you some respite from the pain also. Massage, too. It can be a very upsetting pain. Guest guest
I'm probably different than most but I really like a very deep massage where the shoulder muscles are really dug into. For me, it takes this type of massage to offer any therapeutic value in my shoulder. Kenda > Sauna might afford you some respite from the pain also. Massage, too. It can > be a very upsetting pain. Guest guest
I so agree with you Kenda. I have C7 radiculopathy in my left arm and the very deep massage is the only thing that helps with this intense pain when acute. It hurts so bad but later offers some release to the pain. I only like deep tissue massage. Unless of course, my DH instigates a little massage therapy. ;>) > > > >> I don't know that mine 'pop'.
