Way to go!!!!! Just think how great you'll feel when you can see

the muscles even better once you get rid of a little more fat!! In

the book, it says that we change from the inside out, and that is so

true.

Congrats!

Thanks Kathy! And truly, since Ive been on the program, I have felt much better about myself from the get-go (even though the results arent astounding yet) because I know Im disciplining myself for the future :)

I have always detested diets and "working out", I would rather go clean out the barn, than "exercise".....but I was going about it all the wrong way, mentally and physically......now im learning how to exercise my body for strength, and how to nourish it too :) And the BIGGEST obstacle for me, was to stick with it.... Im starting my 6th week tomorrow, and for me, to stay with it for more than 1 week is a HUGE accomplishment :) YeeHaw! Body for LIFE, the only way to go :)

Congrats on the treadmill! :) I've had one, but don't use it as much

as I should... hubby gets about 2miles a day in on it. I will be

back there after I get a bit more fit with Sansone's Walk Away

The Pounds (WATP).

Hi Christene,

Congratulations!! Does the referral mean that insurance will pay for

some of the surgery? What is a PMD?

Sorry Sis...PMD=

Primary Medical Doctor. The one you would see for everyday sickness like aa

cold. Usually they are Family Practice (FP) or Internal Medicine (IM). But the

doctor I was seeing was a Derm, because the skin is so visible. And I didn't

want it to spread to my face. Eeeewwww! so when I came across Patty's story,

that's when I realized it was the implants causing my skin to change, then as I

read more about Patty's story everything started to make sense. Had it not been

for Patty posting her story on the internet, I might still be oblivious to the

toxicity and its effects.

Anyway, I saw my PMD, showed him the skin on my chest. He gasped in horror and

said he would get things in motion.

My insurance is Kaiser Permanente. I had already called headquarters and asked

if they would remove them. They said yes because it had been causing so many

other health problems for me. (keep in mind they are a business too. in the

long run it would be cheaper to remove them instead of me going to the doc

everyday and having them run all kinds of tests.) So my primary wrote me out a

referral to General Surgery, who should then refer me out to Plastic Surgery. I

just can't believe I finally made some progress...I just don't want to get my

hopes up only to be shot down. But I'm happy for now. I still have at least two

other avenues if they shoot me down for whatever reason. Actually , I believe it

was your post last week that prompted me to call my PMD because I was so upset.

My PMD also gave me a referral to immunology as well. It was a good day for me!

What wonderful news. I will be praying that your insurance will pay

for your explant. I bet you can't wait until that day arrives!

Christene,

This is great news - and I can understand your wanting to be

cautiously optomistic, kind of like we always wait for the other

shoe to drop before we're jumping for joy. I'm glad that your

insurance covers explants, and that your doctor agrees that they

must come out. Mine only covered explants if the reason for the

implants was cancer, but all insurance companies are different, and

I agree - it is cheaper in the long run for the insurance company to

pay for the explant rather than keep them and continue to pay out

benefits for tests, etc.

Things are looking up for me as well, I just got a job offer today.

I interviewed 3 times for this job, and it looked like a great

match, but was waiting to hear back. I'm very excited, but

cautiously optomistic as well - until my feet are under my desk, I

will not take anything for granted.

Aaaaaawwwwww! That's fabulous Sis! Congrats! (insert virtual confetti, streamers, and blow horns). Want to know my theory of "cautiously optimistic"?

Prepare for the worst and pray for the best! I end up with little disappointment when I do that...

I had to change email addy's because of the pending doom at my house so you'll see a different email addy from now on. I guess rejoining under the new addy is the easiest way.

Congradulations Sis! . . .

You've worked hard to get healthy enough to go back to

work . . . I love to see women get their lives back on

track . . . Kinda like graduating! . . .

Please stay in touch though. Hearing women's success

stories is what gets some very upset, sick women

through the process.

Thanks, Rogene. I'm definitely hanging around on this site, because

it helped me so much and continues to help me today, so I'll be

posting on a regular basis. Plus I like being able to offer help, and

really want to continue to spread the word that these devices are

dangerous.

How are you doing, by the way?

Thanks Sis,

I'm doing really well . . . I had a punk day

yesterday, but after a very full weekend, I may just

have overdone it. . . I got some extra sleep, took

echineca and zinc and felt fine today. . . Even worked

in the yard . . . Ohhhhh so much to do though!

I'll see two radiologists tomorrow about followup

treatment. . . One recommended by my surgeon, one I

chose. . . Hopefully I'll qualify for Mammosite

therapy where they insert a small ballon into the

cavity into which they inject radioactive material for

a few minutes, then remove the material and repeat the

treatment after six hours. It will take five days for

this treatment. Radiation exposure and tissue damage

are minimized this way.

They may recommend an estrogen blocker - but I don't

think I'm a good candidate for it since I've already

had blood clots in both legs - and that is one of the

contraindicators. I'll listen - then make up my mind

for myself!

Rogene

What wonderful news about your job offer! That can't help but give

you a jump start in feeling better! I know you are so right about

how being busy with things that we enjoy makes us focus less on our

pains and problems. Best of luck to you!

Christene,

That really blesses me to know that my story has helped you. That

was my reason for putting it all out there. We can only hope to

reach women through our stories.

Thank you for sharing that!

I pray that your referral to a surgeon will be someone who

understands the need for an en bloc removal or, at the very least, a

total capsulectomy. Don't back down on that! It will be so

necessary for your healing.

Keep us posted! I am glad you are making some good progress with

your doctors!

Sis,

Congratulations on your job offer! That is fantastic! Tell us

more! When do you start? What will you be doing?

What a great boost to your wellbeing to be back doing something that

you want to be doing, and for feeling that you are moving on with

your life in a steady progression forward.

I'll be waiting to hear more good news as you move back into the

world of work. Keep us updated.
