After that, it's going to depend on the schedule for your followup visits. . . You may want him to drive you until you get the drains out. . . Although, I drove myself to have my drains removed . . .. I had my surgery on Thursday, drains removed on Monday, then started an eight-hour a day class on Tuesday. . . I wasn't ready to do anything physically challenging, but I was able to do anything I needed to do to take care of myself by the third day. Some women require more help though.
