Guest guest
How were your neuroregulatory results? Have they improved at all since the last time? That's great you're buying an IR sauna. Guest guest
Yes, they have improved but one we hadn't tested previously is screwy too. The good news is that my serotonin and dopamine levels are both high. People with low serotonin tend to be depressed and people with low dopamine aren't very happy people. The hormones that are out of whack make me anxious and make it hard to concentrate. My adrenals are still fatigued but I had backed off taking Isocort on my own to see if it would help the anxiousness. Since we now now it isn't Isocort causing the anxiousness, I can get back on my regular dose. Hopefully in a week or two, things will be balanced. I wish I could find a sauna nearby to use but we live out of town. I think it will be really good for my husband's shoulder pain and detoxing for me. If I am consistent using it, I am hopeful to be able to back off taking so many liver supplements. I'm afraid to count the total number of supplements I take per day. I don't absorb vitamins and minerals very well, an indication of the need to detox. Since I do detox constantly, there isn't much I can do except keep taking the supplements, unless the sauna really helps out. Thanks for asking, Cherie! Kenda > How were your neuroregulatory results? Guest guest
I think hormone testing will be a future test for me too. Weird, but since explant, I just do not want to be touched by my husband. It is getting worse, and I feel really bad for him. I don't love him any less, and he is still just as attractive to me. He has been sooo loving and supportive through this whole ordeal, the only thing I can think is a hormone imbalance. Has anyone else gone through this? At this time of my life, I feel like I don't care if I ever have sex again! Sorry to dump this out, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and whether or not it will pass. I don't know if my husband would like me sharing this or not. Guest guest
i have had this feeling about sex since my mastectomy.....i went through menopause two years ago, 4 years after reconstruction......i can't take hormones 'cause of the cancer, but i wish i could figure out another solution....i am glad you brought this up, as i thought it was just me........i hate turning old, being breastless, and then sex drive going away.......good luck to you, blessings, kathie > > >>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>> Thanks Patty and Lynda, > > >>>>>>>>>> > > >>>>>>>>>> I spent the day talking to radiologists today . . . Guest guest
Dear Cherie, I hope your husband won't mind you discussing this...I know it is sacred territory, but at the same time, it's okay to talk about it here...it just is part of the whole package with implants. It affects so many things. I know that quite a few women have commented about the lack of desire for sex during illness and the healing process. (Sex? What is that!?) I also experienced it at various times. It may have a thyroid dysfunction connection, as the thyroid is so intertwined with our reproductive hormones as well. At times I thought to myself I could be very happy if I never had sex again. I have not had that issue in quite some time now. I saw it start to heal after my body started healing well, especially after my thyroid replacement hormone, and the addition of some herbs. It's been a rather fluctuating condition, but it has never stayed bad. Lately I've been taking an aparian product, which includes bee propolis, bee pollen, and royal jelly. Wow! I noticed a change in that department in short order! I have been reading a book on bee products and I'm pretty convinced that I'll be taking these supplements for a long time. My husband is making jokes to me about it now. (And of course, wants to take them too.) There is hope Cherie! And pray for God to bring healing to you in this area. He understands, and He will be the guardian of your marriage, just as He has provided you with such a loving husband. Patty > > I think hormone testing will be a future test for me too. Guest guest
Patty you brought tears to my eyes - thanks for the support. Dr. Leu did put my on thyroid med (Westhroid), but it has only been about two weeks since I started taking it. He also said that it should improve my problem in this area. Maybe just some more time is needed. I'll check with Dr. Leu to see if there's any contraindications to taking these bee products. The healing process really takes effort, and, for me, to be focused on more than one thing at a time is just overwhelming. Sometimes I just can't handle one additional thing to think about and unfortunately, sex is just the furthest thing from my mind. I am encouraged by your experience though, thanks for sharing. God bless Cherie > > > > I think hormone testing will be a future test for me too. Guest guest
Cherie, I can understand your frustrations. I have been an emotional wreck ever since explant. I don't know if it is because I am so newly explanted or not. I have been extremely jealous of my husband's time and attention. Yet, when he wants to touch me I get upset, as if that is all he thinks about.. I know he is a man and his timing is not so great, but at least he is still interested. I have been so up and down that I have started a few arguments since explant back on Feb.3. I am seeking counseling at church to help me deal with these new emotions and thoughts since getting sick and explantaiton. I just don't feel as sexy in my post explant state. Then again, I didn't feel so sexy for the past year as my health decreased. Maybe this could be related to hormonal imbalances or not, I feel it is more a self-esteem issue, but regardless, I have discussed this with my husband, which was hard. And he knows I really don't want to be this way and I am trying to get to the bottom of it. Together we are working thru it. I wish I could offer some good advice, but all I can say is keep the communication open. My husband may not fully understand, but at least he can't say I am avoiding the issue. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I think we're about the same age, and I know I've had hormonal imbalances for the last five years. I find that I'm not feeling all that interested, either. Could be that the anesthesia or the surgery impacted your hormone levels, I haven't had a period since November, which is when I had the surgery and I also when I went off the pill at that time because my blood pressure went through the roof. Guest guest
Hi Kathie, I certainly don't think the bee products would hurt at all, and in fact are great for health and for strengthening the whole body, according to what I've read. Bee products are near perfect foods. They have vitamins, minerals, amino acids, ....ALL of the 22 basic elements that the human body requires... and rich in B vitamins. Here's the link of the product I am taking: http://thenaturalshopper.com/bee-products/totalbeeplus.htm Read over the webpage, and maybe give them a try. I have been impressed. Guest guest
Hi Cherie, I'm glad Dr. Leu has been able to help you. Candida is a tough one that those of us who are afflicted usually continually fight. I have never taken Viragraphis before. For viruses, I take Andrographis, ADP or Herbal Biotic. I usually alternate between them. My back has been extremely tight for a while too. I couldn't figure out why, then it dawned on me that it is from a car my husband bought for me. I am in the process of having the seat modified to fit me better. I have never in my life driven a car with such an uncomfortable seat! Could you have a strange trigger like this? I love my chiropractor and have been treating with him for years. Kenda > Hi Kenda! > > Dr. Leu had me on Berbercap and ADP. Guest guest
I am drinking a lot of water and no sugar - no wheat - no processed junk - also went to the IR sauna today. Feel a lot better than I did this morning. I am looking at the bad symptoms as a healing crisis and that maybe I am on the right track. I am sorry to hit on such a soft spot recently, and I was NOT saying that I wanted implants back. But I think for a good reason, I was questioning the cause of MY illness. I am always trying to figure out the cause and ways to get better, aren't we all? Thanks for the understanding. Cherie > Thank you all for responding, and I appreciate all of you. Guest guest
Cherie, You have nothing to apologize for. You are a sweet spirit, you are just expressing yourself, love and aloha Terri P- -- In , " Cherie Sutherland " <funhome@...> wrote: > > I am drinking a lot of water and no sugar - no wheat - no processed > junk - also went to the IR sauna today. Guest guest
Hey Cherie, I don't think you hit a soft spot - I was hoping to give you encouragement that the implants caused the health problems, so that you felt there was a light at the end of the tunnel. I detected some hopelessness in your message and wanted to help. Hopefully I didn't come across as being offended, because I wasn't.
