Guest guest
Hi Gloria! Geoff Crenshaw here. > Date: Wed, 8 Mar 2000 20:18:50 -0600 > From: Gloria M Tate <missgloria@...> > Subject: sugar > > Hi, > On all these doctor's diets, Is it recommended to give up sugar because > of the yeast problem or because it has been proven to do something > tangible to make RA worse? Sugar is always being targeted as a cause for > everything and usually, when the studies are finished, there is very > little or no statistical difference that can be positively attributed to > sugar intake. > What do you know about this? > Gloria Specifically, the sugars to avoid would be sucrose and corn fructose. Sucrose because it's a systemic depressant - which puts an extra load on the digestive system, general organs and immune system. Corn fructose because it's use is so widespread and exposure is so utterly constant to the body that it is commonly an allergen or antagonistic just short of being outright allergenic - which again puts an extra load on the digestive system, general organs and immune system. There is no way to avoid " all " sugar, nor is it necessary; sugar is found in virtually all living plants and animals and our bodies convert foodstuffs to various sugars for energy. But sucrose is unnecessary and corn fructose is overused. Guest guest
The other day I think somebody was asking about sugar cravings...I think? Sugar cravings can be combated with the use of chromium picolinate, another health supplement found in the vitamins and mineral section. Since I cannot "endorse" anything medically for professional reasons, I'll say this much from a personal experience and then it would be up to anyone thinking about it to make an informed decision after researching it. I was having a very difficult time with sugar/carbs in the worst way. I was to the point of becoming diabetic. I started taking 200 mcg of CP everyday, and by the third or fourth day, those cravings were virtually gone. This enabled me to get my eating habits back on track because there was anymore self-sabotage! Christene
Guest guest
That's an awesome diet - in the past I was on a macrobiotic diet...very similar ..lots of brown rice and veggies...no dairy and meat...felt fantastic...it's hard to feel good taking anything healthy at this point as I am so toxic and nothing seems to make a huge difference. Another interesting thing I learned in holistic training is that there are parasites that crave sugar and we need to cleanse them out, as well. Thanks for the great tips!>> > The other day I think somebody was asking about sugar cravings...I> think?> > Sugar cravings can be combated with the use of chromium picolinate,> another health supplement found in the vitamins and mineral section. > Since I cannot "endorse" anything medically for professional reasons,> I'll say this much from a personal experience and then it would be up to> anyone thinking about it to make an informed decision after researching> it.> > I was having a very difficult time with sugar/carbs in the worst way.
