Guest guest
Thanks Vicky. The feedback does help. And, yes, I looked at the pictures Susie posted. Unfortunately, I went directly into " intellectualize " mode and reasoned that those patients were probably from an area that has poor health care, hence the advanced nature of their injuries. Denial is a wonderful thing, huh?! Maybe I'm just tired of trying to avoid health problems? Stupid sentence but that's what it feels like. I was diagnosed with glaucoma 20+ years ago, eventually had both eyes operated on, and have been monitored twice a year ever since. I've been SO careful, for so many years, only to have something else threaten my eyesight. Ah. Oh, grow up, Beth! Who ever said life is fair, huh?! Guest guest
Hi Lori, Glad to have you back among us again. I'm sorry you are experiencing so much pain. That sounds just horrible. I'm happy you had that left over Morphine. Is your doc going to give you more of it? It sounds like you might call him tomorrow and get him to get the script written so you can go pick it up. I'm glad the ER doc helped you out with a shot of Morphine. I bet you felt so much better once it kicked in. I've been in a lot of pain the last 2 days as I over did it on the 4th. I knew I would and if I had some good sleep on the 3rd, it might not have been so bad. But I haven't been sleeping well at all. Tonight I'm taking a sleeping pills and going to bed at 8 CST. Which is getting close. Time to take the pill. Have a good night! Tommie catching up Hi everyone, I've been a little out of it since the other day. The cortisone injection i got on tuesday caused me a LOT of problems. Thursday I wound up in the ER because my pain level was up to a 10. The ER doc said the guy who did the injection probably nicked the nerve, which of course, the nerve didn't much like. After a shot of morphine, and finally being able to sleep for about 11 hours, On friday night the pain started coming back so I decided the hell with darvocet and took one of my leftover morphine pills. I'd been taken off it when my hiatal hernia flared, with the intention to go back on......I never officially got put on, but what the hell, worst I did was sleep and at least I got some relief right? I know i missed a lot in the last few days, so everyone just know that i'm thinking of you, my love and prayers are with you all and I wish you pain free days. Did someone ask me about contributing to a pain book? If so, can whoever it was please email me with the info and what you need, how much, deadlines etc? Thanks! Gentle hugs to all Lori aka ladifrog
