Guest guest
Good day Ladies, I was wondering how long do I wait to put anything, like Mederma, on my scars? I went shopping this morning for some and it doesn't say on the Box. My surgery was almost 4 weeks ago. I want to catch it early enough. Also, when can I soak in the tub? My sore muscles and joints are "screaming" for the jets! Then, is it OK to start any kind of sweat therapy this soon? Will this effect my scarring process? Thanks for your help, L (now that we have two) Bring photos to life! New PhotoMail makes sharing a breeze.
Guest guest
, Your scars are healing now...so go ahead and put Mederma on them now for the best results. You can also start soaking in the tub, but to be sure, you should ask your explanting surgeon about the time frames he/she recommends. 4 weeks is long enough to begin your detox efforts and sweat therapy, keeping in mind that it takes about 6 weeks to recover from surgery, and so you may have some reactions that are uncomfortable. Guest guest
Hi , I actually haven't used anything just yet, although I've seen others post that vitamin E works better than any scar solution they've tried. I looked at Mederma and Scar Guard and I thought Mederma had ingredients that didn't look as scary as Scar Guard. I was taking baths at 2 weeks post op, and I didn't have any problems. As for the sweat therapy, that I am not sure of, but perhaps if no one here knows the answer, you can call Dr. Feng's office. Happy healing! Guest guest
Vitamin E oil is great for scars too. I have used Mederma before for scars and I believe you have to let the would completely heal before using.
