Guest guest
I've only posted one other time. I've just had a visit with both my rheumatologist and my plastic surgeon. I'm being explanted March 30th. My rheumatologist, when asked to give his 'gut' on the topic of illness and explants said his gut says that they don't cause a problem, but that if I would like to try explant to try and trigger my own remission that he saw no harm done with the surgery. (I told him remission is my goal and I'm going to keep trying things until I'm there.) He gave me his go-ahead to proceed saying on his end everything was fine. He's a great guy and I really like him. He's doctor Surbeck in Oklahoma. He was professional and supportive. I then saw my plastic surgeon and got his opinion. I asked for his 'professional opinion' on implants and Lupus. He's doctor Ratliff in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He said that a Harvard study says implants don't cause illness, but that if I want explant along with the capsule he'll take them out, no problem. Again, I got his opinion but also his support. Based on his vibe, I think Dr. Ratliff is personally convinced that implants don't cause illness, but is perfectly willing to let me test my boundaries and theories without giving me any grief at all. I told him also that if one is lucky enough to have a disease that can go into remission, one would be INSANE not to try and trigger it however possible, and that's my goal. So here we go. I'll see for myself if I get better! I'm crossing my fingers and praying and hoping that this is the answer to fatigue and ill health. ly I didn't have the cash lying around. My mother is loaning me the money so I can explant right now. She said it feels like 'life and death' to her and I feel the same way. We both have good feelings and are hoping for the best. Before this, I had my Mercury fillings removed seeing if that was the problem. (it didn't help, but I have nice white fillings so no loss) I quit drinking diet drinks or anything with aspartame. (it didn't help, but I lost 10 pounds. Go figure). I stopped drinking alcohol. (lost 10 MORE pounds) I tried an herbal detox method. (no change) I tried meditation and relaxation methods. (I'm relaxed, but still sick ) I also, and this is the truth and exhibits my desperation, hired a 'psychic healer'. I'd try a shaman rain dance at this point to feel well. My mother last month said, "Maybe it's the implants." I said, "They're saline - water." To which she replied that maybe I had an allergy to the plastic. I was dumbfounded. I hadn't considered that. Hence my internet search and then my stop here. I'm thankful I found a possible way to health. It can't be coincidence that we all have the same symptoms. My mother also pointed out that I was perfectly healthy until implantation. As a side note, I've had tingling and full loss of feeling in my left pink and ring finger. It comes and goes, like they fell asleep. I thought I was pinching a nerve, but after reading the posts here and the same symptoms, I'm now seriously, heavily suspicious that the tingling is also due to implantation. I also have a rash on both arms that isn't very visible but as it clears it lightens my skin. It looks like a birth mark and is my newest symptom. My first one was severe hair loss, then excessive, profound fatigue. With the Lupus diagnosis I'm absolutely no better, just more medicated. I have very high hopes. I'm also a little nervous about what my breasts will look like after 11 years implanted. I plan to do an aggressive detox after explant - any recommendations of brands or methods? My husband is thinking I'm grasping at straws with the explant, but is willing to let me try it since my mother is the one who literally put the cash on the table. Does anyone have links a man might find convincing? Right now he's just going on my gut, my mother's gut and internet research. I've been reading the digest every day. Thanks for sharing. You were the catalyst for my decision. I'm praying it's the answer to my prayers, and I think it is. Stephani
