Guest guest
Thanks for the link! Jaw-dropping for me. I am certain I was vitamin D deficient during my pregnancy with my ASD ds. I then nursed him with no vitamin D supplementation (didn't know that was recommended.) My oldest NT dd (the one who has joined this board) is deficient in vitamin D and low in estrogen. We started supplementing our boys with D (over and above what they normally get from their CLO) to prepare for the high dose vitamin A protocol and they seemed to react poorly to it. I now wonder if that was a detox reaction. I also think about the recent articles on the Somali immigrants here in the USA who are suffering from astronomical rates of autism in their children. One of the articles mentioned the possibility of vitamin D deficiency playing a role along with the high number of vaccines they have received. Ironically, I live not even 10 minutes away from one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I live in perpetual sunshine. Yet, because I was so sick in my pregnancies, I was not able to be in the sun and was not able to take prenatals with my last two and my last baby (my ASD ds) was right on the heels of my third baby so I didn't have time for my body to rebuild before I was pregnant again. > > Guys, > > Here is a really interesting article about the corrolation between Autism & Vit. Guest guest
I wonder if anyone has researched the vit K shots given at birth as having any correlation in decreasing vit D production/conversion in the body? Debi
Guest guest
My son was born in Hawaii, we got tons of sunshine. I didn't always use sunscreen because I believed the sun was good for them. I breastfed him for 15 months. If there was a vitamin D problem in my son, I think it must have been a " use " problem rather than a " deficiency " problem, so I am a bit of a skeptic on the deficiency piece. Now, I have chosen to give the whole family Cal-mag-D capsules with 1- 2 meals daily. I think it's better absorbed that way, but I don't have anything to back that up. > > > > Guys, > > > > Here is a really interesting article about the corrolation between > Autism & Vit. Guest guest
Good question Debi. Vitamin K injections just make me mad. > > I wonder if anyone has researched the vit K shots given at birth as > having any correlation in decreasing vit D production/conversion in > the body? > > Debi >
Guest guest
I do know that Calcium is better absorbed in the body if you are supplementing with Vitamin D. Per my doctor, if you are taking calcium for bone strength (I'm talking about us parents, not the kids), it is absolutely pointless unless you are taking Vitamin D.
